Baseball's Greatest Players: 10 Baseball Biographies for New Readers

My son enjoyed using this for a book report.

I ordered this book for my son who just started getting into baseball this year (3rd grade). He has been discussing the past players with his dad and grandfather and of course current players. This book allowed them to review players from the past 10 decades, starting in the 1920s. Of course there is some disagreement of who should be the you, but there are the runner ups in each decade. Everything allows for discussions about baseball through the decades and how baseball has changed. Also, the glossary is nice as well because terms can be looked up.Definitely recommend as something else to add to your child's library as a reference book to learn a little bit about additional players.

This book is perfect for 1st or 2nd graders who love sports.

Grandson is not yet interested in reading. This book changed that. He now wants to read other, non sport books of his interest. Keeping it simple at the beginning is important.

I gave this to my grandson. He hasn't read it yet but I looked thru it thoroughly. Well written and informative.
