Not rain tested yet, but the vinyl coating outside and the welting stitching will do the job. Nice and thick but inside is soft, tie downs on opposite legs plus elastic drawstring will tighten snugly against wind and rain. The fit for me is excellent, generous sizing. They come with a storage sack. I spent a lot of time searching for the correct size, quality and price and theses are perfect. But..I measured my chairs carefully on all directions, including arms and I think that made the difference for me. I can not speak to how well they will hold up to hot summer sun, but I plan to use them for rain protection. Nothing can withstand California UV rays for long.

I cover two deck chairs, one on top of the other . Very good water resistant, heavy fabric.Large enough for bigger chairs. Good tie-downs at bottom.

I had high back swivel chairs and these were the best choice for fit on the Amazon catalog. They are well made with soft material on the inside to prevent scratching. I have not exposed them to water or rain at this time, but am very happy with this purchase.
