My Asus fits perfectly in this case, and the pockets hold my wireless mouse and power cords. However, in class last week, the guy next to me knocked over a full cup of coffee, which immediately ran off the table and directly on my empty case, which soaked it all up like a big red sponge! Not cool at all! So be aware that it definitely doesn't repel in any way moisture! However, once I got home, I tossed it into the washer on delicate, then the dryer on low and it's as good as new. Thankfully, I had been able to squeeze out most of the coffee before having to return my laptop to the case to transport home. All ended well.

This is the perfect lightweight case for a Chromebook or any similar size laptop. Well constructed, padded (not hardshell), and water resistant (not water PROOF). So, as long as you don't submerge this in water or run over it with your car, this case will do the job protecting your laptop.

Nice case but not sure how much protection it will have for 9 year old. Lots of storage but makes the case bulky with mouse. Jury still out on protection. But not bad for the $.

This is a perfect little computer case for my 11" MacBook. It would also probably be great for an iPad or tablet. It technically has four pocket: The main compartment, two velcro side pocket where the handles and shoulder strap can be stowed; and one zippered side pocket with dividers for accessories. The reason I like this so much is I like a thin sleeve that can be thrown in a carry on or suitcase but was always juggling my last laptop case which didn't really have any handles.Now when I am traveling or running into work I can also throw it over my shoulder making life much simpler! The material and color of this are also super fantastic. I had a hard time deciding between this and the pink one but thought this might hide dirt a bit better. It is a very durable canvas-like material and is a beautiful color. It seems very well made and think this will last me quite a while! Anyway, I highly recommend this.

The case looked just as described and is just what I needed. I haven't tried it near water so I'm not sure if it is waterproof .
