I wanted to leave this to help out others, with what I struggled to figure out. The distance of the first position to the base (after the bottom is removed to expose the M20 thread) is 30". So again, this is extended from the first pin position (end of pole) to the end of base, where thread is located. Not 35" as the posting says... we were real tight on height and the only want to really knew for certain was to buy one! Pole is what you would expect from Gator, solid, smooth and well designed. Like the collar with the knob, more of a smooth rubbery feel vs plastic.

The stand features quality the moment you unbox them! We were looking for a stand that fit QSC subwoofers threaded hole to mount our speakers on top of and this provided a great solution! The QSC speaker poles did not allow us to adjust height and these do which is a huge plus. Do you use different subwoofers that do not have a threaded pole mount? These stands also come with an adapter to work with regular pole slotted subwoofers. Excellent product!

Bought these for my EV subs and they fit snug. I like the safety pin holder which is nice feature to have while the poles are in transport or not in use. And having the adapter for non 20mm threaded subs is nice in case I needed to replace my current EV's subs with something else that doesn't use the 20mm threaded. They seem solid, and have good height.

These stands are solid. However, DON'T get the used ones to save a buck. The one I received was dented and looked like it had been used for a year (my guess is that is was actually used for a while and then someone ordered a new one and returned their old one).

What is there to say? They work great and are of very high quality
