Magnetic flexible built plates are a must have
I had massive problems removing models from my original build plate. Anycubic mono x does a too good of a job getting things to stick to the build plate. I broke far too many prints removing them. This upgrade is/was essential for me.Easy to use (if you follow instructions & take your time it works perfectly). The magnetic plates work well and do a very good job. Its handy to have a 2nd plate so you can get another print going while you clean the used plate. I have used these plates over a dozen times and they are as good as new.Great product & very happy with my purchase.

Need to rough them up a little!
I decided to get some of these for my Mars 2 pro, to help remove some of the smaller, more fragile prints. After recalibrating home and trying a test print, i found there was limited adhesion due to the smooth surface.A bit of coarse sandpaper rubbed over the surface has helped that, now everything sticks and is easy to remove after printing.Only real downside i have seen so far is that you have to get a bit more 'hands on' with the printing surface so its a little messier.

Good magnetic build plate but needs a little work to realise its full potential
This magnetic build plate works. It does the job and is suitable for the Elegoo Mars 3 Pro. HOWEVER, there are a few steps that aren't mentioned in the installation guide that you need to take in order to get it working 100%.Right off the bat, your printer will have a hard time homing because the switch that is triggered on homing is now higher up because the build plate is now thicker. You will need to print a shim (look for "magnetic build plate shim" on Printables/Thingiverse) and fit it in order for the printer to be configured correctly. The only other issue I had only showed up when attempting to print a full plate. Prints were falling off the build plate about 1cm up the print. I narrowed the problem down to the smooth surfaces of the removeable plate. The instructions say that one side is more textured that the other one so that you can choose this side if there are adhesion problems. However, both of the plates I received seemed to be exactly the same on both sides. This wasn't much of an issue that a bit of sanding cant solve but it was a tad annoying to have wasted a fair bit of resin finding this out.All in all, for the price its not bad but you do appear to get what you pay for.

Too pricey for what it's for
If you buy one beware you'll have to constantly level and re-level all the time , constantly have to wear gloves to remove and replace, you get 2 surfaces sure, but the price is unreasonable for what it's for, an considering the constant need to level your platform is irritating, might as well buy an original platform and use that for the price of these, it's like a fiver shy of a new platform. it sticks somtimes, not all the time, but the levelling really takes the fun out of printing, and makes it 10 times more tedious. and mundane.

To stick but not to stick
I have an Elegoo Mars 2 printer and from day one have loved it, however getting the prints off the build plate can be a PIG.I have a flex plate for my FDM printer so thought I would get one for my Mars, and came across the Sovol flex plate - I already have the Sovol VATS and going by the quality of them I thought I would give the flex plate a shot.So glad I did, initially I ordered the wrong size initially but soon got that replaced. So where to start, I cleaned my entire print head in 99% IPA, then gave the print bed a good sanding to rough the surface up to assist with adhesion of the magnetic plate, after the rough up I cleaned again with IPA.I pealed the backing off the magnetic sheet, lined it up and stuck it to the build plate, I then left it on a flat surface with some weights on the top of the plate and left it over night to allow it to stick well and truly. The following day I put the steel flex plate onto the magnetic base, I had a nice little pinch on my finger where the plate snapped to the magnet so be careful. The plate is very secure on the magnetic base and doesn't want to move, however using the little tabs will come of when you want it to.I don't know if its needed or not but I do it on my FDM flex plate, but I roughed up / lightly scratched the surface in random directions with some wire wool that came with the FDM plate.REMEBER you MUST relevel the bed following the manufacturers instructions for your individual printer, in some cases you may need to add a spacer for the Z axis sensor, in regards to the Elegoo Mars 2 the sensor is not needed, just make sure you loosen the nuts fully before leveling.Once levelled I put a Solov VAT on the printer added some resin and went to print, I ended up with a grinding noise, so removed the print end and releveled, did this a few times but kept getting the grinding noise, when looking the print bed had moved so it was tilting up at the front. Strange. So this time I turned the flex plate round so the 2 little tabs were to the rear, re levelled and tried again, SUCCESS seems with the VAT in the correct place with the thumbs screws in the dimples on the VAT the print head isn't dead centre and the TABS were catching on the VAT, Tried it with the original VAT and it was the same the TABS need to be at the back of the build plate. Nice easy fix.So how did it print? apart from the relevelling I changed NO settings on the printer and set it of to print an adaptor for an Airsoft RIF, 56 minutes later and I have 2 adaptors firmly stuck to the flex plate, gave them a push (wearing gloves) and they were firmly stuck to the plate, grabbed a tab to remove the plate as as I pulled the plate off, one adaptor popped off into my hand, the other stayed on, I gave the flex plate a slight bend and the other adaptor popped off.cleaned and dried the plate and stuck it on the printer ready to go.In conclusion: very easy to installed, excellent adhesion properties for the prints, strong magnetic stick and the prints pop right off when needed, already recommended to my father who has the same printer.
