My husband likes this length. We have found that some of them last a long time but occasionally we get one that breaks after a few uses.

Not sure why, but the 1/2 attachment to my Wahl clippers suddenly broke a few weeks ago and that was what I used on the side and back of my head when cutting my own hair (I've been doing it for 15+ years now - either I don't care what I look like, or I've half-way proficient at it). I ordered a new one, but it was an off-brand but claimed it fit most Wahl clippers.It actually fit as promised. Unfortunately it was NOT the right size. It was about half-a-millimeter smaller than a size #1 attachment - if that. Essentially it was a #1 with a 1/2 on the front. Not sure if it was a mis-labeled item or if they intended to make it essentially the same size as the #1. I compared them side-by-side and literally could not tell a difference just by looking. I left them a nasty review as a result.So I figured why not just order one made BY Wahl and avoid the issue. Thankfully I quickly spotted this and got it immediately. Thankfully it was exactly what I wanted. Works just the way I want it to, as well.Very satisfied.

If you own the wahl deluxe chrome set then this is a must. That set doesn’t come with this 1/16th guard so if you are attempting fades/blends you will be sorely disappointed (there’ll always be a line between the transitions). Since getting this guard it’s made my haircuts easier. Go on YouTube and follow along the guides and you’ll see they all require this guard for fades/blends.My only reservation is that it doesn’t latch on the clippers as snug as the other guard pieces - feels like it might unlatch at any moment so proceed slowly at first.

This particular attachment did not fit my Wahl Chrome Pro Complete cutter Model # MC3. Shortly after I started to buzz my head, I began feeling multiple, painful "plucking" sensations trailing the path of my Wahl Clipper on my head. I double checked the guard for correct placement, and it was securely in place, but it was still able to slide from one side to the other. I ended up having to secure the guard with duct tape in order to finish the cut. It was painful. I was disappointed because I was under the impression that Wahl guards fit "most" models. I have a common model. It should have fit. I've used Wahl products for many years. This one experience, however, pushed my pain tolerance past my threshold; which is why I will no longer being using the Wahl brand for my personal grooming needs. I have set my sights on a more serious trimmers. Thank you.PS: It was only $5. But it should still work.
