Q: How long is it supposed to burn? I’m surprised it only burns for a few seconds, and I don’t feel any warmth. Is it working?

It burns to the end and you have to replace with another stick, a couple of times till you get sense of pinch. It’s not from just a one touch.

you do not need a moxa holder. the moxa is placed inside a stick on (small) candle like holder already. all you have to do is stick it on the point and light it with a lighter.

Moxa will also smell different on different people depending upon their stresses and illness. Definitely use an exhaust fan in between treating clients to rid the smell of the moxa as some patients will give off a very strong smell during treatment while others you may not have even any change from the normal smell.
