If I need to upgrade an existing socket to a smart one, be it inside, or outside, I try to use Shelly gear these days.These are small and can fit in most existing back boxes. I use one to control an external socket that gets almost 3kW through it for 4 hours a night and not had any problems yet. This particular model also has energy monitoring which I use and is a great feature.There is great support from the company and Internet on Shelly gear and they have all sorts of gadgets with great apps and smart assistant integration. I also use Shelly EMs to monitor my home energy consumption. Big thumbs up from me.

Screw terminals are very small for 16A. The output one was stripped or became stripped as I fastened the wire to it so a wire couldn't be securely fastened to it.

Well it's a great product, however if it's faulty then be prepared to deal with the most ridiculous customer service I have even seen.Bought four of these, to be fitted by and electrician. One was faulty so I asked for a replacement, however Shelly want to see a video of it not working - hard to show once the electrician has gone. Or they will send it off to their labs for further investigation. It's a £19.99 item and Shelly customer support seem to take the default position that their customers are lying.Last thing I ever buy from such an awkward company. Avoid!

Ich habe seit mehr als 3 Jahren insgesamt 59 Shelly Relais im Einsatz (3EM, Dimmer 230&RGBW 2, Rolladen 2.5, 1 PM und Plus 1PM)1 einziger Shelly 1PM (alte Version) hat den Geist nach 2 Jahren aufgegeben, bei einer Lieferung mit 2 Stk Plus 1PM war 1 Shelly nicht zum Einbinden. Ersatz bzw. Gutschrift problemlos erhalten.Daher kann ich die negativen Rezessionen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Firmware updates, Szenen mit wenn/dann, Sonnenauf/-untergänge, Zeitpläne (Pool, Weihnachtsbeleuchtung, Rollläden, etc.) alles funktioniert klaglos.Waschmaschine bzw Geschirrspüler Fertigmeldung an das Handy...Auch lassen sich die Shellys problemlos in Home Assistant einbinden. Shelly cloud aber auch MQTT funktionieren perfekt.Vielleicht liegt es an WLAN/LAN, Störquellen, Abschirmungen, dass manche wenige Anwender nicht zufrieden sind. Ich verwende z.B. im Außenbereich (Pool - mit Add-on Temperatursensoren und Brunnenpumpe) auch Shelly und helfe mir mit der Funktion Range Extender, um im Garten den schlechten WLAN Empfang abzudecken. Die Wärmepumpe habe ich anfangs auch per Add-on temperaturmäßig überprüft, bin nur zu faul um die Relais wieder auszubauen – verständlich bei den geringen Kosten der Shellys.Ich kann über keinerlei Fehlfunktionen berichten, also nicht von sogenannten negativen Rezessionen beeinflussen lassen und selbst herausfinden was Tatsache ist - sicher wird es manchmal Probleme geben, aber ob die von Shelly verursacht werden????Bei mir gibt es wirklich kein einziges Problem und ich habe auch kein Naheverhältnis zu Shelly.

Tras varias semanas usando los relés solo puedo hablar maravillas. La APP es muy intuitiva y permite muchas opciones de personalizacion. Compré dos relés para controlar cla iluminación exterior De mi casa y sin duda volveré a comprarlas para configurar el resto de luces de mi vivienda
