This watch is huge & heavy!
The media could not be loaded. It's big, even on a big wrist. The watch is 2" edge-to-edge and the crown sticks out another 1/2". I was a little cautious about ordering since some people had mentioned that the watch band is short, but unless you have incredibly large wrists I think you'll be fine.My wrist is just at 8.5" in circumference and it this watch fits - loosely - on the second-to-last hole in the band. If I want a tight fit I can cinch it down to the 4th hole on the band. So even with a big wrist there is plenty of band and even enough if you want to give the watch a little play on your arm. With the crown sticking out a full 1/2" having this extra play is nice to help reduce it digging into the back of your hand (which it will do).One thing that surprised me was how heavy the watch is. I tossed it on my postal scale and it came in at a whopping 0.45 pounds - for a watch - that's 7.2 oz, folks! You will notice this on your wrist and you will notice if you accidently bang into a wall because you'll gouge the wall! After about a day I stopped really noticing the weight when wearing it, but if I take the watch off and put it back on I really notice it for 10 - 15 minutes because it's so heavy. The little chain that holds the crown-cap is a little annoying. I really noticed it and felt it jingling around the first day I wore the watch. Now I don't notice it much, but every once in a while I'll feel it and briefly wonder if a bug is on my wrist. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to take some needle nose pliers and remove the chain yet, I'm still 50/50 on that.It seems to keep time just fine. My example has been running pretty spot on and I haven't noticed it being slow or fast yet.The lume on it at night is outrageous. All of the numbers, lettering, and hour markers glow, the hands glow, and the 1/4" thick ring around the dial glows. It seems to hold the glow really well, being easily readable in the middle of the night after several hours in darkness. There are only two things I miss on this watch; it doesn't have is a second hand and it doesn't have a rotating bezel. The "retro" Russian lettering and "CCCP" are kind of cool. This is definitely a watch that will get noticed. Even if people don't ask you directly, you'll catch them glancing at it. For the price, it's a steal.

Big and Bold...
I had been planning on purchasing a new watch for a while now. I don't normally wear watches, instead I just use a cell phone to get the time. But my new phone has a screen lock that is a bit of a hassle to get unlocked JUST in order to see the time, so I started looking for a watch.I have seen different Invicta watches on Amazon before and really liked some of them. I didn't know much about them so I started doing some research and found that most people say the quality is very good for the price. After looking at quite a few of them on the Invicta Store here on Amazon I stumbled across the Russian Diver. I really liked the looks of it as soon as I saw it. Then I saw the size at 52mm and was a bit startled. That's a LOT of watch!!!I ended up ordering it while it was a Deal of the Day and I'm really happy I did. As usual, shipping was super fast and the packaging was exceptional. When I opened the watch I was immediately taken by the size of the watch. 52mm as a size seems large when you're using a ruler...but when you actually see the size of this gigantic watch it will probably catch you off guard. Not only is it wide, it's also pretty "deep." What I mean by that is it sticks off of your wrist quite a bit.The face of it is beautiful. Every detail of it just works. The numbers fit with the face perfectly, the hands fit perfectly, the date fits in wonderfully and doesn't look out of place, and the green surround offsets the black of the watch excellently. The black metal is awesome. It's shiny and subtle at the same time, which in my opinion is great because you need the color to be slightly subtle on a watch this size.I've read many opinions on different websites that suggest that the chain for the canteen cover doesn't fit the watch very well, but I disagree. I think the chain does a great job of finishing off the overall aesthetic of the piece. I wouldn't ever think of taking the chain off of mine. The overall weight of the watch on the wrist is definitely more than I'm used to. Like I said, I don't normally wear watches and when I do they aren't anywhere near as large as this one. The weight takes some getting used to, definitely.I've only had the watch for a short while, but I've already gotten several compliments on it. It's definitely a piece that draws attention to it. People see you and are instantly drawn to it.All in all, I'm extremely pleased with the purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Invicta watch, and the 5 year warranty that comes with the timepiece through Amazon is a wonderful addition.
