Pulls 1300W not 1000W
The unit actually pulls 1300W. It didn't work with my 1200W inverter.

Wicked water through the cord
Used to heat an off grid bath. Worked for around 10 uses, then this week started sizzling when I plugged it in. Looked and the plug was wet. Dried it off, plugged into another outlet. Same thing happened.I've taken apart the outlets and there's no moisture there. It's coming from inside the plug.

Failed with intermittent use
Intended use was to keep liquid chemical diluted with water from freezing in an application five-gallon revisor when temperatures are below freezing in winter months. Cord shorted out with less than 20 hours of intermittent use. Wire broke internally where it enters into heating unit. My experience was not favorable and would not recommend.

I will be following up.
The media could not be loaded. I just ordered 2 of these because I utilize a bucket heater in my portable hot tubs. Each tub holds about 90-100 gallons of water. perfect for a good hot soak on a cold New England winter night. My only problem is my $25 bucket heater was not titanium. And the 3ppm bromine level in my tub was corroding the metal... So I took a dive and bought two of these just to play it safe. Lets hope they really are what they say. The only other review was helpful. So I will follow up once they are in.FOLLOW UP RESPONSE. I liked these heaters so much that I upgraded to a larger tank (See video). They have lasted me over 6 months now. And i'm so satisfied with their performance I am here today to buy another, Just in the event one does fail in the future. Some specs if your thinking easy cheep HOT TUB... Like I was...They take 24 hours to heat 50 degree tap up to 108 degrees. Once heated you can enjoy a nice soak for about 1:30 then the water hoes down to about 100. Just recover. Turn on again. And in about 2-3 hours time your back at 108. Uncover and let cool to the recommended safe spa standard of 105 and your back in business! Epic solid hot tub for 1/10th the cost of a real one.

The Heating Unit Completely Fail After 1 Month Of Usage
The heating unit completely fail after 1 month of usage. I broke the unit open to find out what happen, and the thermostat switch is Ok, the heating element is OK, but it was a bad connection one wire at the end of the power cord that connected to the unit, because I spotted a black spot on 1 wire that was connected to that unit, and that wire was burnt loose.

POOR QUALITY , NOT 1000W!!
this heater is not 1000W as it says (max temperature reached is 169 degrees in 5 gallons of water,in 4 hrs another brand with 600w reaches 185 degrees which is the one I need in one hr) it appears to have the power of 500W or it is defectiveNo recommended!!

Not Long Lasting
Thing is a piece of crap. Didn't even last a full two months. Waste of money.

Glad I came across this bucket heater
A very nice high quality titanium wand heater manufactured in South Korea. I bought it for our vacation trip to Mexico later this spring; particularly as a backup plan to heat the water needed for bathing our toddler. 1KW wattage doesn't sound like it would knock out the breakers unlike the cheaper 1.5KW heaters also found here on Amazon. It takes about 25 min to heat a 6 gallon bucket from roughly 68 to 100 degrees.
