fender switch, works perfectly
rotary style switch which i think made for stratocaster, but i'm going to use for my tele, to add all the different wiring techniques to get as many sounds of of this instrument as possible. This is a genuine fender part so quality was perfect.

An Authentic Fender Part for a Fender Guitar
I will try to keep this brief as there is no reason to go on endlessly about a device such as this. The original selector switch that was installed in my Stratocaster had gotten loose to the point that I was compelled to investigate. Upon removing the pickguard I was met by a most unwelcome sight in the selector switch falling apart! I attempted to repair it to its original state by reconnecting the pieces that had come loose but to no avail. I now had to resort to performing the repairs on the instrument that I found to be the most bothersome—electrical soldering. In any case, I purchase a soldering kit from Amazon that was simply outstanding. It made the process much easier than it otherwise would have been. I reused the wire that already been connected to the previous selector switch and was able to repurpose it. The instrument has now been returned to a fully operation state and the new switch feels magnificent! Don't take your chances on some other brand of switch, buy from the source!

Great deal on a Fender-branded switch
This switch cost less than similar non-branded switches that are available online. The Fender branding assures you that you're getting a decent part. This is the classic CRL-style switch. I much prefer these over box switches. If you're upgrading the electronics on your guitar, this would be a nice upgrade over a box switch.

Installed in 1984 Squier Stratocaster And Worked Great
I've read that a lot of the Stratocaster parts are interchangeable with the Squier Strats. I'm restoring my childhood guitar that sat behind a dresser for the last 20 years. I needed a switch and decided to try this. It's a completely different switch from the one that was in my guitar but I expected that.It did fit with no problems. Holes lined up. Looks great. The wiring pattern was different so I did have to search out a wiring diagram online for this style switch. I did a search for it and found a diagram for this particular style of selector switch. With a little soldering and rerouting the wires this worked out great and my guitar sounds awesome again. The switch is much better quality than what was in the Squier. I tried it first without a diagram but got it wrong and had to do it over. With the right diagram it's easy peasy and will make your Squier scream!I'm really happy with this choice.
