However, if the subject is sport he’s your man, if it’s anything technical not so much. I had to therefore find a camera which met his high expectations without being difficult to operate. I asked some questions about the viewing options of a few camera companies and this Topcony company had the best sales/after sales service department who answered my queries promptly and confirmed this camera meets all our expectations. It arrived on next day delivery and I installed it very quickly and easily. The first picture shows the Free IP cam viewer on his tv set along with a shot of the view. He can access this live footage in seconds. The video is using the free CamHi pro software on his phone and ipad but the same video is accessible from his laptop too. As you can see both live footage and playback is accessible on many devices, set up being quick and easy. The Camera takes an SD card which records in tailored segments constantly and/or motion detection alarms. For the purposes of this illustration I set them for 20 seconds but he is opting for 5 minute segments. This motorised camera can also autotrack movement so as someone or something comes into recording view the camera can be set optionally to pan around to follow their motion so there is no ducking out of sight!The main objective of this purchase was to allow quick and easy viewing for a novice but the bonus has to be the night vision. Not only can you see regular black and white infrared footage but chose the led option and the footage appears in vibrant colour as if it’s daylight. The quality is superb.I am hoping to repurchase this camera for my Mother as sometimes she does not answer the phone so I dash round to her house only to find her talking to a passerby in the garden. I can – with her permission – view her from my house on my phone and save the anxiety of thinking she’s in trouble! It also has an audio option so I could hear her too, but this can be turned off, which I will do in this instance.All in all this camera is amazing and a bargain at the price. I do have a garage camera at my house which cost three times as much and is certainly nowhere near as good. I am delighted. As an update I just bought another one it is so great!

So, we now have 4 outdoor PTZ cameras, 2 outdoor fixed cameras & 4 indoor 360 PTZ indoor cameras. its fair to say that I've bought into the ecosystem of CamHi.Whilst the application doesn't have things like cloud storage, it instead offers you the chance to store the data yourself. All our cameras have 128gb SD cards in them which means I can review about a weeks worth of footage from the camera itself. But more importantly, you can set up FTP on the device, so each time the alert is set off, its send the recording to my FTP server. Due to this I now have 5 years of history on my own servers. The data is mine and I can keep it forever how long I want. Only last week, we went back to the day we brought our second child home for the first time. That ability is priceless.So to this new version of the camera, its replacing one of my older outdoor PTZ cameras that has become faded after 3 years of abuse by the sun. Still works fine so will be moved somewhere I cant see it.The all fixing on this is about 15mm smaller than the older camera. Luckily its going into wood so no bother to me but something for others to look out for.Installation is simple. 4 screws and its on the wall. If you ware going into wood then you'll need to drill some holes for the rawl plugs. After that you just need to get the power to it and done, your up and running. Easy as anything.There are three ways to connect that camera to wifi, you can either play some horrible tones at it from the app. Connect a laptop to the wifi its broadcasting (look for 192.168.1.88) or smack a lan cable in and do it that way. my preferred way is though though the lan cable before mounting to the wall. just find the Ip address of the camera. log in, click the top link and then settings. You can then select Wifi manager and select the wifi you want it to use.You can then go though the other options either through the app or the webpage.This camera a couple of great features, first is it tracks movement in its field of vision, and if its night time it will activate a floodlight and track them. Works great when you come home after dark.I've tried a lot of cameras in my time and always end up coming back to CamHi cameras. They are easy to use, but offer complicated advanced features for those who want to use them. For me like like and Android over an iPhone. both work for everyone, but with android you can do more if you want.

Very very easy and quick to set up took less than 20 secs.Picture quality is actual HD and has a zoom feature as per the photos.For the money this camera has some amazing features. I have already another PTZ camera that when you view it has moved and is hard to get back to a pre-set position. This camera has up to 255 programable pre-set positions so easy to centre.The other really good feature is the tracking which does work remarkably well. I use these cameras to track alerts in a property in Spain and this will help quite a lot.PTZ works well and is quite responsive.It has an audible alarm feature and albeit not particularly loud it may be useful to alert any intruder that they are being watched.Mobile alerts work well with a further option to email alerts.
