Great Sound in a Compact, Travel-Friendly Design
I’ve been using the Bose SoundLink Color II for a few months now, and it’s quickly become my go-to speaker for both indoor and outdoor use. It packs surprisingly rich sound into a small, lightweight design. What I Like:Clear, Balanced Audio: The sound is crisp and clear, with excellent mids and highs. It handles vocals and acoustic tracks beautifully.Compact and Portable: It’s small enough to toss in a bag or backpack, making it perfect for travel, beach days, or backyard get-togethers.Water-Resistant Build: The soft-touch exterior is durable and splash-proof, which adds peace of mind when using it outdoors.Easy Pairing & Controls: Bluetooth pairing is quick and simple, and the onboard controls are intuitive and responsive.Built-In Mic: The speakerphone feature works well for quick calls without needing to reach for my phone. What to Know:Battery Life: I typically get around 8 hours on a full charge, which is fine for day trips, but I do top it off before longer outings. Not a Bass Monster: If you’re looking for deep, thumping bass, this isn’t it—but the sound is very well-balanced for its size.Final Thoughts:The Bose SoundLink Color II offers excellent sound quality in a compact, travel-friendly package. It’s ideal for casual listening and everyday use—whether you're relaxing at home or on the go.Highly recommend for anyone who wants quality sound without the bulk.

Superb Rich, Full-range sound. Well constructed and designed.
The fact that I am reviewing this positively, is saying something. I rarely spend time with positive reviews, but this is too good to NOT tell others about. I have previously owned the Anker speaker sold here on amazon for between $20 and $30 and the sound is actually not that bad and the battery life on that unit was impressive, but I accidently left that behind at a hotel and decided to get the Bose as my replacement. This thing is awesome! From, the deepest 30hz bass to the highest tweets and everything in-between, this Bose speaker, like every other Bose product I have owned in the past, produces the most RICH, CLEAN, high quality sounds of any sound producing devices out there, in my opinion. It's almost like a magic trick as most people that hear it can't believe the rich sound is coming from the little 5x5 speaker. The device is encased in a thick dense carbon/plastic type case that feels and sounds like hard wood, when you knock or thump on it, then the entire unit is wrapped in a thick ruggedized layer of silicon rubber coating to making it not only waterproof, but easier to grip and allows you to toss it around like and old tool in your toolbox without damaging or causing any blemishes that would normally occur over time with normal day-to-day use. and if it gets dirty, you7 can just wash it, since it is waterproof. The buttons have a nice soft rubberized textile click when pressed. I would, however, have liked them to be raised up a bit rather than flush for the occasional "no look" adjustments. The volume has 100 steps rather than the typical 10 which is nice for fine tuning the volume. Also, there is an integrated microphone that makes for a superior quality handsfree experience when connected to your phone via Bluetooth for phone calls.Power Supply is NOT included, like all major phone and speaker brands, they have gotten away from including the adapter. I have seen the reviews of people saying the unit wouldn't charge, but I want to assure you that the issue isn't with the Bose device, it is the charger, cord, or user error that is the issue. And to be fair, I still think Bose and other manufactures should include the charger and cord. (especially when it has a minimum power requirement in order to charge effectively.) If you ever have any issues with charging, you probably don't have a high enough watt/amp power block. You need a minimum of 1.8AMP - 2AMP and above is even better to get it to a full charge quickly.I see a lot of reviews of people complaining that it won't charge. It will charge, just needs enough juice to do so. Charging adapters are cheap enough, just go buy a 2 AMP+ chargers. (and don't cheap out on the charging cord, those cheap cords that came with your made-in-china product you ordered off Wish or Alibaba isn't going to cut it.)I do wish the charging adapter type was USB-C and not MicroUSB. Most of my devices now use the USB C type charger. This really isn't a bad thing so much as a convenience factor as it would be nice to have only one type of wire/tip for everything rather than have 100 different types of charging wires laying around. The battery life in testing is about 11 hours at medium-high volume. on a typical day I turn it on in the morning when I wake up and then continue to listen to it at my desk at low volume which takes me through a typical 10 hour work day without needing to be charged. It has voice prompts when you turn it on. but this feature can be disabled through the phone app. It also has multi-device sync giving the ability to sync with my laptop and phone at the same time, which is nice because my windows sounds and my music can live together in harmony. It is waterproof! I use this thing in the shower. nothing better than having rich quality music while showering. This is an EASY 5 out of 5 stars. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone for a wide diversity of applications! you will not regret the purchase.

Impressive Sound
Great sound in a small package. Stylish and the rubber like cover makes it perfect for outdoors.

The price shouldn’t be that much for a small speaker
I love it I just wish there is a pink version for my room but also works fine and I didn’t have a problem with it

How I brought my speaker back from dead. Battery not charging and stopped working
I bought the Bose Soundlink Color II speaker two years ago and loved it initially like so many reviewers have said. Unfortunately, last week I found that it stopped working and the battery was not charging. Although I kept it fully charged after last usage in early 2022, my Bose SoundLink Color II turned into an expensive paper weight sometime during the second half of 2022. I don’t know why but It was completely drained of battery power when I tried to use it for the first time last week after it had been in storage for many months. No matter what kind of USB charging adapters or methods I used, this speaker just won’t charge at all. The charging adapter it came with did nothing for it either.I searched Amazon reviews for a solution to resurrect this speaker and saw that I could do a driver update (thank you for whoever posted this!) from Bose website first and see what happens. Here are the steps I took:I went to Bose SoundLink Color II troubleshooting page and selected the option – Battery will not charge and followed instructions to download Bose Updater program. I ran the Bose Updater program from my computer and updated the driver of my Bose SoundLink Color II driver successfully to its latest version - Ver. 4.01 but the speaker is still dead.I tried again using all kinds of USB charging adapters I have around the house and used different methods. I used stronger chargers and charging stations, I let it charge overnight or sometimes at least 24 hours, I tried different plugs and different positions, but the speaker was still dead. I finally gave up, but decided to give it one last shot by going directly to Bose Updater page to update the driver again. This time I did not download the updater, but instead used the updater page directly. However, the Bose Updater page showed my speaker as having the latest driver version this time and would not update my driver anymore.Out of desperation and without exiting this Bose Updater page, I pushed every button I could find on the speaker randomly, separately, or at the same time and so on, I just kept at it. In about 15 seconds, I saw a red light flash on the battery indicator and the female voice from my speaker saying – Battery Low! After that the battery indicator light began to blink amber signaling the speaker battery is finally CHARGING!!!Although I can’t recall clearly, I think during the random button pushing phase, I might have placed more emphasis on the power button of the speaker. Maybe it takes keeping the power button pressed for some time to reset the unit? I don't know, but you can give it a try, if you're in the situation I was in. After my back from the dead speaker started charging, I disconnected the speaker and its USB charging cable (hooked up to my computer), and connected it to a regular weak phone charging adapter connected to an electrical wall plug, and finally my back from the dead speaker charging indicator light showed it fully charged in green. This was surprising because none of the stronger adapters I used previously worked, or at least it didn't jump start it. Oddly, it took a weak phone charger to get it to continuously charge. The lesson I learned from this ordeal is never to let the battery go dead and to keep it charged for maintenance even if I am not using it. I tested my speaker after it is fully charged and it works perfectly and is the same as when I bought in two years ago.Hope my sharing this review helps you bring your Bose SoundLink Color II back to life as well. This is a fantastic speaker otherwise!
