PRO: I've been doing a pretty thorough search for a sleeping pillow. I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine, and am paying close attention to head posture and neck position, as they not only affect restfulness and comfort, but change how hard the machine has to work and the volume of air it blows to keep one's airway open.This pillow hasn't gotten many reviews and I was half expecting to find that I would end up returning it, but it surprised me. It seems to be well made and the design well thought out. Most contour pillows seem to have the two lobes fairly close together with a very limited 'head dent' in between, which means that if you use the low lobe for your neck the high lobe raises the back of your head - not good for alignment. This pillow is designed for using the lower, 3.5 inch lobe for normal neck support needs, and it seems to have enough of a low spot that my head doesn't reach the higher lobe but instead rests comfortably in the low spot, keeping the alignment level.Also good is that the pillow is made of Dunlop type latex, which blends comfort with being supportive and resilient, without being as 'jouncy' as one of the Talalay latex pillows I tried. I wasn't sure if the egg crate surface would feel strange compared to a smooth surfaced with pinhole design latex, but it feels quite good, supportive and normal and I think will keep air circulating well through the cover.The pillow comes vacuum sealed in tough plastic, and expands immediately once the plastic is cut open. It weighs 3.3 lbs. as advertised, and its dimensions look correct per the ad as well.CON: The ad says that the pillow has a removable zippered cotton cover, and the pics show the cover pulled back, but the cover is sewn shut and not removable. It has a tag which recommends spot cleaning with soap and water. This false advertising is a definite downside to the pillow, as in order to fully benefit from its cool, comfortable surface one does not want to put a pillowcase over it. With my tendency to drool while asleep, the pillow is going to get nasty looking and unpresentable pretty quickly, spot cleaning or no.
