Great leash for hands free walking!
I really like this hands free leash system. It has a waist strap which is adjustable from very small to very large, that has two metal rings on opposite sides and a buckle using the same plastic quick release buckle used on many collars. The two rings are nice because you can clip your dog to either side and use the extra ring with a carabiner to hold treats, your keys, extra poop bags, etc. It is a strong, heavy duty buckle. The leash a heavy duty spring clip at both ends (may be too heavy for tiny dogs under 10 pounds) to attach to your dog and a ring on the waist band. The leash has several great features. The first of which is the stretchy/bungee material that keeps it from getting tangled and gives you warning before the dog potentially pulls you. The second brilliant feature is the double handle. I love having a closer, non stretchy handle close to my dog for "stressful" situations when I need to keep her close and a handle near my waist for regular walking. I also like that, because of the handles, you can unclip the leash from your waist and just hold it like a regular leash. This is especially helpful if you have a large, somewhat unpredictable dog. I have a 60 pound golden retriever puppy who has been trained well and works great most of the time attached to my waist. There are days, however, where we meet up with a lot of distractions or she is just exercising her right to be a puppy and I have to unclip her and use it as a regular leash. This system works best with a dog who is leash trained. If your dog darts behind you (the cutting behind is a definite deal breaker) or bolts after squirrels and other things, it gets a bit difficult. The leash is sturdy enough to handle my 60 pound dog at full pull with surprisingly little discomfort to my midsection. It also works great for me when walking two dogs, I just clip one leash to my waist (you can use the leash provided or use a carabiner to attach the leash of your choice) and it makes my life much easier. You could potentially clip both leashes if Both dogs are extremely well trained and you use your own leash for the second dog.I hope this helps!

Quality product but not for even the slightest of pullers.
I got this so I can start training for a marathon and taking my pup with me on my jogs without having to keep my hands on the leash the whole time. I wanted a nice hands free something that was more comfortable than the regular belt and leash I was already using. So everywhere I read, including reviews said it's good for dogs that tend to pull a little.... but that's really not the case. Because it's bungee, there's no correction or tension at all so my pup pulls even more, now taking my entire body with her. So as a hands free walking device for dogs that may pull, it's a no go. Because it's a bungee, there is no point where there is full tension until they are way at the end, and the tension was so gradual that they don't even realize how hard they're now pulling. Then, you can't even really correct or pull back because you can't grab the bungee area so all you have to grab the is the handle closest to you which just bungee's back out out again creating a doggie yo-yo. There's much LESS control over your dog with this leash.I will say though, the set seems very well made and the leash may be great and comfortable for dogs who already walk well. (For reference, my dog is a 57# pointerX and leash length and size works well with her size and I can see it working well with larger dogs too--not so much for small dogs) It's definitely not good if your dog pulls even in the slightest. My dog is not a huge puller either...she just always ends up at the end of the leash because I'm not going fast enough for her lol! The belt adjusts a good amount, love the key-ring on the belt and love the dual handle of the leash. All around usable and quality product as long as your dog is already a well trained walker. In the end, I just attached my regular 4' leash to this instead and it works how I want it to until I can get her to slow down some day. So, not much different for me than just using the belt and leash I was already using.

Hold a leash?... No thanks
We have two 78lb Huskies... They are usually a pain to walk without using a gentle lead product or face leash. After moving to a hands free leash, never again will I have my shoulders yanked from their sockets... not really, but yeah.We took them hiking with us recently on vacation through the mountains and the experience would not have been as fun or relaxing without this leash setup. My wife and I would walk one at a time or both, and it never was a problem. Everyone expected them to snap us in half at the waist due to the belt system, but since the leash has a bungee effect, it kind of gave us a warning before they hit the end, and they learned to not pull so hard once they felt the resistance.Really happy with this setup, and definitely recommend it to medium-large dog owners.I noticed a few negative comments from small dog owners before I bought it, but realized why would a person try to tether a tiny chihuahua dog to a leash which weighs more then the dog does... Ignored their negative comments, bought it, and am so glad I did.

Well made product, would buy it again
This waist leash is an excellent product that works just as promised with a firm give that tells my dog she's gone out too far quite effectively without having to jerk her around. The stitching and clips seem very well made. I would have given it five stars except there is only one size and my dog is on the smaller end of the scale of dogs who can hike, run etc. Consequently, the large, heavy clip really pulls on her collar and bumps the front of her shoulder if there is any slack, which is the point of loose leash training! It works just fine with a harness but sometimes I want her in a collar I can quickly slip on and off when hiking.
