The New Ovation Walker (Generation 2) 10107 Short, Red Large

I have more experience wearing cam walker boots for various athletic injuries in my life than I ever care to have. I’m not a medical or prosthetic professional but I *know* boots.First, the bad.... I bought this boot in size Large, as per the sizing chart of the company. I am an averaged sized male (5’10, 180lbs) with size 11 shoe. This boot is *HUGE* insofar as circumference around the top of the boot (just below calf) even with the padded adjusters they include. I’ve taken a photo so others can see just how much a “no-go” this boot is. (Note: the red pneumatic part is supposed to be in front, not on the side of your leg!). I called Customer Service of the company that makes the boot (Ovation Medical) but they were quite unhelpful. They couldn’t tell me the difference in size Large & Medium regarding the circumference, just kept yapping shoe size. I confirmed length is no issue. They kept saying they didn’t know if a smaller size would make any difference for me.Now the good on this boot.... while I am currently post-op non-weight bearing and therefore can’t “walk” in this boot I have NO DOUBT this cam walker will be superior to most of what is available. So much so that I am returning this Large and have placed an order for a Medium. I’ll also add a suggestion to be very careful what supplier you place your order with and what their exact return PROCESS is before placing your order. Of all the returns I’ve ever made with Amazon I simply leave package at my front door for UPS pickup. For some reason I have to return this to a UPS store. For someone whose right (driving) foot is unusable at current this presents a real problem.
