Needed an adapter for an older monitor.. Works great.

Needed this to hook up a free QX2414 144 Hz monitor as a second display. Only expected 1080p@60Hz, was able to do about 105 Hz with a dual link DVI cable. Any higher = green lines.The monitor won't run as fast as it once did but it's good enough for me!

Good price, great output options, solid build. DisplayPort connection is pretty finicky. If you experience issues with images not showing, try shifting the plug around in the graphic card.Also, a note for linux users, you may not see your GRUB screen with this adapter. Just turn off GFXMODE in your /etc/default/grub and make sure you're using the text-only version of grub. Not ideal, but I have yet to find a better solution to this specific issue.

Needed an active DVI to DisplayPort adapter for my MBP to CalDigit dock. Worked perfect plug-and-play, and image quality actually seemed improved on an older DVI monitor. Good solution.

These are great. I've bought many of them for my clients and they work flawlessly. The audio works over the cables you would normally expect it to with no extra audio or video noise.

I bought these to connect MacBooks to multiple displays via a dock, they did not work with the selected dock. Support could not tell me why it worked with a much more expensive dock I had available and NOT with the less expensive dock, and ultimately advised me to return them. The lower priced dock worked fine with an active cable from the same company, product # CD0107 - not really sure what the difference is, but I'll probably just buy from a different company from now on.

I purchased this specific DP to DVI-I converter adapter to use with an older IPS monitor I use for photography post-processing after I upgraded to a newer Nvidia GPU. Newer Nvidia GPUs don't keep an active signal which in turn causes older monitors to believe the PC is not on and the monitor goes into sleep mode. From reading what I could about the issue, it sounded as though an active adapter would be needed.Note: the old monitor has only VGA and DVI inputs, GPU only has DP or HDMI outputs.Unfortunately, this adapter did not enable me to use the old monitor as it still gets a signal for a brief moment and then goes into sleep mode. More than likely I'll need to get an adapter that also has a USB cable to power the adapter and provide the active signal.The item is well-built, but didn't work for my situation.

A little expensive compared to similar items available but I needed it fast and had to pay extra for the expedited delivery, I was well served. Thank you very much.

Poor quality product. Stopped working after 2 weeks.

This adapter doesn't seem to have a valid edid, resulting in NVIDIA drivers labeling it as Fail-safe. This restricts the monitor resolution to a safe limit, which is much lower than the monitor's capability. In my case, it was 640 x 480 pixels.So in Windows Display settings > my monitor that was connected to this Adapter was displayed as a tiny one and there was nothing listed under the Color profile. That was weird since I use a color-calibrated profileInstead of my full 1080p monitor, the Display setting in Windows only showed NV-Failsafe under Display 1.Not only that but the current resolution was set to 640 x 480 pixels and 6-bit color depth, and I could NOT change it, as it was locked and greyed out.I could NOT also change the refresh rate. Actually all configurations of the monitor connected to this DP-to-DVI were greyed-out.I reinstalled NVIDIA drivers, checked that I had the latest Drives, unplugged-replugged the Adapter multiple times, restarted the whole Computer multiple times, and nothing helped.And the same problem happened when I switched to Linux as well.So overall if you are using NVIDIA GPU, I would not recommend this adapter.
