I didn't expect it to be different, but it is.File transferring is now faster than ever, before with a standard SD reader I got 20mpbs but now with this I get 92mpbs.

MAYBE ANDROID SHOULD LOOK AT WHERE IT STANDS FOR VERSATILITY. I CAN SEE WHY iPHONES ETC ARE SO POPULAR .

I used this Card Reader to access my many photographs and it was extremely fast on my MacBook Pro. It was very easy to use and to store in a laptop bag. Picking out individual snaps to print also was simple. Worth buying as it just works.

I bought this with the hope of it having better performance than the combined USB3.0, SD and HDMI to USB-C adapter that I had been using, and I'm not disappointed!The all-in-one adapter gave read and write speeds of 30-35 MB/s, this gives 200-250 MB/s!That's less than 10 seconds for 2 GB of data compared to over a minute for my old adapter!Definitely worth the investment if you have a fast SD card and are regularly transferring large volumes of data.

I thought this thing didn’t work at all, and spent time with apple support running diagnostics on my ipad. It turns out however that the reader only appeared to be connected at the time. I purchased another USBC cable to connect to my PC to check and found that this connected with a click. Knowing this I tried their reader again and with more than a little pressure it also clicked into place. Hey presto, a perfectly working sd card reader / iPad Pro combo. The lost star is because no one from ScanDisk answered my support query when I followed advice to email them, and also for the force required to get it to connect.

Generally works fine and faster than the built in reader in my PC/laptop. However have had a couple of corrupted files. Resolution is to copy the individual files from the SD card again. Thought it was a faulty camera or card initially but looking at the files on the card directly they were fine and could be downloaded at second attempt.
