Lookout bugs!
The first hour my wife used it (she smokes outside in our screen porch) it killed a couple of dozen bugs. That's even inside a screen porch! I like this purchase! On the serious side, you never know what you can catch from mosquito bites these days. Protect your family! This bug killer kills bugs by the cup full every night. It comes with 2 extra bulbs and a brush to brush the dead bugs off the removeable tray at the bottom that catches the dead bugs. Seriously, I am impressed at how well this works.

it kills gnats !
i can confirm that this kills the tiny little annoying gnat fruitfly things ....... it makes little to no sound when it kills them but the tray under it accumulates quite a few over time ...... occasionally a larger housefly gets zapped and those you DO hear and it's a loud quick POP which i know means instant death ...... the light is a softer violet color that's easy on the eyes........seems like it's well built..... i like it7-13-17 - one of the bulbs finally quit and when i attempted to change the bulb i got zapped really bad even with this thing unplugged ..... it has some kind of capacitor that holds the electricity.......lesson learned use a screwdriver or something to discharge it AFTER you unplug it .......... btw this thing has killed thousands of flying critters since purchase ...... well worth the money

Mosquito zapper that really works!
I recently received this product and put it up immediately, since I have been a magnet for mosquito bites. Quite honestly the buzzing near my ears and horrific bites have literally made me want to move out of my house! Although skeptical when I first put my order in; after receiving it and putting it up, in the first two days a few mosquitos were zapped by this contraption and I was estatic! Even one mosquito is one too many when you can get bitten like I did, and I would definitely recommend this product. I purchased the 40 watt one as I was desperate to purchase the highest voltage one since I literally had enough of these dangerous pesky critters. Thanks!

Quality issue, Little disappointed.
This device does what you would expect, kills bugs. I had it on a shelf over my desk in a warehouse like setting and it did well for 6 months. I gave 1 star because it is advertised as serviceable, hence extra bulbs. The installed bulbs are glued in place. That glue is all over and in the bulb receptacle. Don't forget that this thing fires off of a capacitor and will shock you unplugged and/or turned off. We cleaned the terminal but the receptacle was damaged and burnt internally. I understand it will not last forever, but I should have been to replace the bulbs at least once. I would not buy another but look for a better one. It did work well for a while but failed for me.

Superior quality.
We saw a major decrease in mosquitoes when we used it the last two summers. We've had it for 2 years now and it's been hanging in our open air garage and still works well. Definitely recommend this bug zapper over others on the market.

KILLS MOSQUITOS!
Some say that it will not kill Mosquitos. Mine killed thousands in the first night. I've had to clean the grid every morning. After three days we were able to use the deck without being eaten alive. GREAT PRODUCT.

Not exactly what it's cracked up to be.
My daughter has a horse, two dogs, a cat, two ferrets, two parakeets, and two young children who have never understood the importance of closing a door behind them. With so many animals on the premises, flies are a serious problem, so I bought this for her Mother's Day present this year. Though other reviewers state that the lights attract flying varmints, trust me, they do not! After a full day of being plugged in, there was only one fruit-fly carcass lying in the tray at the bottom. In theory, it's a great idea, but it probably is not worth the investment or the cost of the electricity needed to power it. Fly-paper strips are nasty and unsightly, but they do an infinitely better job.Obviously, no one gave me a reward of any kind in exchange for this review!

I love this product
I love this product. It is large enough and you can hear the zap of the bugs being killed. I bought two and they can with extra bulbs. They are playing priced well and are simply to use. size matters and the largest size is what I would recommend.Thank youMuhammad
