Just tuned my first piano and this completely fit the bill. The dampeners worked as one would expected and the real value came from the sturdiness and length of the tuning wrench’s shaft. Tuning the high notes was made easier with the added precision. The comment about the felt being to thick is a bit true, but I found that if you weave through the notes and not the individual strings, the thickness is fine and works well. Would buy again!

These are pretty basic components, so they mostly either work or they don't. The handle on the wrench is plastic and gives me a bit of concern it will break when tightening the low strings, but it has not. The wrench fits well enough, maybe a little loose. That doesn't matter though.I don't really see much point to the felt strip. It is presumably to weave between the wires to damp them, but the sets of wires are too close together to manage it. I just set it on top, and then a book to hold it down. Bean bags or rice bags would be easier.

The equipment worked as advertised - I used a free piano tuning App on my cell phone to get the proper tone and then methodically used the kit to adjust each string. It worked although it’s tough to make the smallest adjustments (not the fault of the kit). I’m pleased with the end result and this kit works well!

Just learning my way into the secrets of tuning a piano. I needed something to allow me to have a strong basic ability to get around. Love this kit! I have a friend who tuned pianos and repaired them, tearing them right down to the pieces when needed. He loves this kit for me. It is NOT a repair kit, just a tuning kit, but it has the options needed to get the ball rolling. I am now officially an apprentice of Piano Tuning!Great Kit!

Every piano teacher or player should have a tuning kit for those pesky few notes that always change pitch.So glad I ordered this kit!

Head on Hammer is square. Better to get one with more sides.

As an armature was able to get my piano in significantly better shape than what is was! Nice to have the option to do it yourself as professionals are hard to come by in northern Canada!!
