Working well after a few minor adjustments
Working well after some minor adjustments suggested by Daun, another reviewer. My first 2 times using it I was having some issues with it not heating evenly, feeling too heavy, and the elastic on my forehead made my forehead feel like it was being ripped apart. So I took Daun's advice by laying it on it's side with the elastic together heating it for 30 secs on that side, then flipping it over and heating for 30 secs on the other side, and the heat is much more equally distributed. I then turned the entire cap inside out to get the seams away from my forehead, and that solved the feeling like it was ripping into my forehead feeling I was getting. I do agree with Daun's comment that it appears to have more room when wearing it inside out. As far as the weight of it, I have a neck injury, and the weight of the cap tends to be a little more heavy than I would prefer. After having it on for a few minutes in an upright position, whether I am sitting, standing, or walking, the weight of the cap tends to give me a horrible headache. I have figured out that if I lay down with a pillow under my head allowing it to support my neck, and help support the weight of the cap I seem to do better, lol, other than I have a hard time staying awake with this nice warm cap on my head. I'll also be trying this cap out the next time I get an earache because I'm thinking this cap will help during that time too.If anyone has any good hair deep treatment recipes or favorite products they'd like to share, I'm open to suggestions.

Mobile Heated Gel Cap
When I took it out the box, I was very surprised to feel how heavy it was. It has a wide elastic band with rows of squared gel packets that lines the inside of the cap like a waffle pattern. The cap is a bit compacted than I had expected so if you have extremely long, thick hair, this cap may not be comfortable for you. With my first use, I shampooed and conditioned my hair as normal. The instructions stated to put the cap in the microwave for one minute. It didn't feel very warm so what I did was to place the gel cap in an old t-shirt and heated it for an additional 20 seconds, that was much better. I put on a clear plastic cap under the heated gel cap to prevent my conditioner from making a mess inside the gel cap. After about 1 hour, I washed out my conditioner. The heating cap stayed warm the entire time.My hair was very soft and my curls were more defined. What I liked the most was that it was warm, cozy and mobile. It was so much better than wearing a plain clear plastic cap on my head, after a while it would get cold.Mobility – You have the ability to move around and not be stuck under a hairdryer..Heat Protection – The gel heating cap locks in the heat for a long period of time. Very warm, cozy and comfortable. In result, it allows the conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft which aids in deep conditioning treatmentOverall, there is value in purchasing the product. It does the job and is very convenient to use.

A Good Alternative
I'll keep this review short and simple.Pros:-Good at staying warm for the 30 minutes that I use it to deep condition my hair-If you can't find the Hot Head deep conditioning cap, this is a good alternativeCons:-It's heavy on my head-Because it's heavy on my head, I feel like the top is weighed down causing the hair in my crown area to absorb more of the product compared to the hair on the perimeter of my hair-There are no adjustments to the cap so it can be large on most people's heads and it's not designed well for children.-The band around the cap is uncomfortable and very thick/wide (it's about 1.5"). If the band wasn't so flawed, this would be a great product.Overall, this is a good product. Some people said that one or more of the gel slots bursted while microwaving it, but mine hasn't done so. I normally heat it up for 45 seconds and it'll stay warm for up to 30 minutes.

Didn’t work out for me!
Brought this years ago and maybe used it 3xs. It doesn’t get hot enough and it doesn’t penetrate the hair shaft especially if you have thick or high porosity hair. You’re better off sitting in the hot sun. I ended up giving it away.

Neutral
Its ok and it does get warm, but I don't think this will replace my now broken hood dryer. I had to reheat it twice in a 20 min period and it's also a little heavier than I expected. I give it 3 stars.
