About laptop vga interface: Now in market almost 99% of notebook's vga and hdmi ports all belong to video output port but not the input port, you can't input video signal to your notebook through this two ports. So please pay attention to that don't connect this vga output port to notebook avoid compute reboot and even burn the motherboard. Very disappointed. Defective and can't return it.
Ordered this to be able to hook up to my computer monitor to watch movies on my amazon firestick at work and nothing. From the first time I hooked it up it didn't work. I'd get a display from my firestick which showed the amazon logo for a split second then it goes blank and sends monitor to sleep mode. I unplugged it and tried again and some thing. I received the product when I was on vacation and didn't actually get to try the product 3 weeks after item got delivered. When I tried it it didn't work. My friend has one and his works fine. I've hooked his firestick to my hdmi to vga adapter and same result. Doesn't work. Hooked mine to his and it works like a champ. Reason I'm posting is cuz I wanted to reform it cuz it seems to be faulty but they say I can't return it cuz of 30 day return expired. Wow! Really? I've always shopped in amazon especially during the holidays but to get a defective product and can't return it when it's never even really been used just the times I've tried getting it to work is messed up. I'm sick with this and am hesitant to even buy anymore items from them if they won't replace a defective product that they sold me. It's not an actual return, I just want a replacement. It's apparently a manufacturer warranty issue but sick with it. Either that or was sold wrong product for what I'm trying to use it for. My friends is just like mine and goods works just fine. I'd like some kind of reimbursement or exchange or response from amazon to make this right. I will send the defective product back willingly if I could get some help resolving this issue. Make it right guys.... keep your customers happy and coming back again and again. This is very discouraging and not sure if I wanna continue business if this is how you treat loyal customers. A response would be nice. Even if in my personal email to expression why my product isn't working or why they went keep the customer happy. As far as rating. .. I will give it a start only cuz I can't give it zero. Unless I can. How can I give a product a rating of it didn't work and can't judge/rate it. I'll change my rating when they make it right and I can actually use it. Very disappointed in amazon.

DO NOT BUY
Doesn't work right. After playing around with connection for 10 minutes, I can intermittently get this to actually send signal. Tried on different laptops connected to different projectors, and each time it's the same issue. I can connect the laptop directly to the projector and they work fine. The whole point in purchasing this is it was easier to make a long run with HDMI cable than with SVGA cable.

Just junk!
Pure junk. Fell apart before it could be attached to my computer and used. Knobs sized and positioned so that fingers bigger than those of an 8-year-old can't even grasp them. Absolute waste of money.

Didn't work at all. Hoping to get a refund and will update this review once I hear back from the supplier.

Bought two of these - neither worked - one did not work at all - the other one turned the image completely Blue. I think the pins are too small - poor design - don't waste your time...

The metal female portion for the HDMI cable to be inserted came right out of the adapter after unplugging the first HDMI cable. Junk.

Inferior product!!
Product broke in less than a month. Cover came off and screws which never worked came out. Never worked properly. If I could return, I would have but I was 5 days after returns were allowed
