Ten Little Superheroes Board Book

Best book ever
From birth my daughter loved this book. It is one of her favourites. From about a year old she started making some of the noises with me and now she has just turned 3 she does every noise on every page. She has even made the pink super kid her!We have bought this a 2nd time as the first one was so used and bartered it fell apart (any book would have).A great book and a must buy.

Not as good as the other 'Ten little' books.
We have bought the whole set of 'Ten little' books and this is the first one we've had an issue with. The pages were all stuck together at the top like they hadn't been cut properly. We were quickly offered a refund which was very appreciated. This book doesn't flow nearly as well as the others. Definitely not as good as the others in the series but worth a buy if your little one is into superheroes. Pictures in these sets are so lovely and bright and interesting for littles ones. Perhaps not that well designed as pictured because you can't see whole picture unless you flatten out the book unnaturally.

Changed overly-wordy format doesn't work
My son loves the Ten Little... series, but they've been on a downward slope since Ten Little Pirates. This one throws away the "x little superheroes" line that starts each page and instead waffles on in a mealy-mouthed-manner, making it not enjoyable to read one bit. Very poor.

Complicated and Confusing
My little one (14 months) loves the dinosaur and pirate versions in this series but found this one harder to engage with. I couldn’t even follow it myself! It makes no sense. It doesn’t follow the same rhyming counting pattern as the other books in the series. The illustrations are too busy and it’s the most confusing thing I’ve ever tried to read my little one.

No narrative, no logic, good pics
Great glossy paper. The text, however, was poor: uninspired, short, no real naarative, no main action, just a series of not-even-that-clever bad guys names taking out (in ways that are unclear) the superheroes, 1 by 1. And - SPOILER...... the resolution is nonsensical: the "eliminated" heroes just reappear, get together at City Hall and catch the villains?! The pictures are nice: I'll use them to get my Pupil's to draw and create their own masks and villain names. The reading... only for very very young children who are just starting to get acquainted with books - and even then they might be overly impressed Ina a negative way by the monsters and the violence. So perhaps a slow-reading 8-year-old might enjoy it the most. Was it written for this particular niche, though?

It's another good book in the series
I'd already bought the Robots, Aliens, Elves, Monkeys, Monsters, Bookworms, Dinosaurs and Pirates books in this series (!) but I'd been put off from buying this one by the negative reviews here. However, as my 4yo son is enjoying superheroes at the moment I thought I'd give it a go.I think it's as good as the others in the series. Maybe the words are a bit more complicated than some of the others but my son still enjoyed the story and the pictures and the plot makes as much sense as any of the others!Just remember it's a fun story book for 3-5 year olds, not a contender for the Booker Prize! ;-)
