Great pedal!

I had no idea Nady even made pedals. Surprisingly, it's really good! It sounds like a fuzzy boost; gritty, but not over the top and great on an already kinda gritty tone. Also seems really well-built.I only have two gripes:1, it's large and shaped like a stubby foot, which I thought was cool until I found it hard to fit on a pedalboard or next to other pedals.2, I can't get unity gain at a good saturation level. It's either too quiet or blaring with nothing in between. It's fine if you're using it as an always-on kinda pedal, but as a boost it's chaos.Thing was like $27 though so it's still totally worth it.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No? It's a Nady

$35 thats what I paid for this pedal. So we must look @ other pedals in this price range.Your choices are not very promising.Danelectro Fab Flanger. $15 piece of steaming hot dung.Behringer Flange pedal. Never bought any of their produts.Never will.Than there's Joyo. I own a few Joyo pedals. Nothing special, they do have a metal housing & true bypass always a plus. Then there's the Nady. It is made of plastic. Seems pretty solid better than the Dano & Behringer.Pots are metal & solid & the way the pedal is shaped your not likely to stomp on them.Supposedly the original signal flows through the pedal unaltered. (true bypass)I'm not sure if that is the case. It doesn't mess w/the signal & it plays nice w/the rest of my true bypass pedals.Something that the Dano & Behringer will not do.I really can't compare it to the Joyo other than it is smaller but not by much. So it will take up less of that valuable real estate on the pedal board.Sounds decent but it's not going to replace your classic flanger from the 80'sIt does provide a wide range of sound from swirling to sonic. It's a good pedal for anyone on a budget. From beginner to seasoned vetran.Best of all it comes in any colour you want as long as it's orange.Oh yeah it's negative - center so it uses a standard power supply & fits nice in any daisy chain.

low gain and bassy / I like it after mod

I bought the TA-40 tube amp simulator because of its low price and because I was curious to hear the difference between pre amp and power amp based distortion. After using this pedal my conclusion is that the `tube amp simulator' thing is a marketing gimmick. I would describe the TA-40 as a dark sounding distortion pedal with little gain or sustain. The tone knob gives you the typical treble bass roll off. And despite what the item description says this pedal doesn't get anywhere near "crushing distortion". I only use it to push other distortion pedals, I would have returned it if it was expensive.UPDATE- I switched out all the stock diodes and replaced them with germanium 1n270s. I am really happy with the way it sounds now. At low volume settings the pedal sounds like a thick Distortion Plus, and when you dime all three knobs it sounds similar to an EQD Monarch (to my ears anyway).

Good for a Raw Rough Tone with Fuzz

This a good looking, sturdy, affordable flanger that may not quite stack up to flangers that are 5 times more expensive in terms of versatility, but it works great in conjunction with a fuzz box to give a really scathing sound, which is what I'm using it for. I set the speed nearly to max, the depth a little over a quarter, and the resonance just barely on, and man, this thing gives a very hard-edge grinding tone that I'm finding perfect for the Grunge/Punk type stuff I'm working on.

Ticking noise, even in bypass

Based on the many good reviews here, I ordered this. To my disappointment, the one I received had a major noise defect: you could clearly hear a "tick . . . tick" noise. This noise varied exactly with the "rate" knob, so if the rate was slow, the ticking was slow; if the rate was fast, the ticking was fast. And the noise was always present, even when the pedal was bypassed. I don't know if only the particular unit I was sent was defective, but regardless it seems to speak of either poor design or poor quality control at the factory. Also, I noted that the sound of the tremolo was not as pleasing as for other pedals I've tried - e.g. the Danelectro Tuna Melt tremolo I tried had a much more pleasing sound; subtle, but noticeable. Unfortunately the Tuna Melt also had noise issues (slight static-y noise, even in bypass), so I had to return it also. But of the two, I'd recommend the Tuna Melt over the Nady.Based on my experience so far with ordering & having to return two low-priced tremolo pedals, I've bit the bullet & have gone ahead & ordered a much more expensive brand, the Voodoo Labs tremolo. That one gets very high marks & I'm hoping it will both have a pleasing sound AND be silent when not in use.NOTE: And I wasn't given a "discounted" pedal by the company in exchange for an "honest" review - I bought mine, period - and returned it for a refund.

Best value for the money!

I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on pedals/effects. It works as well as the higher price units. Solid steel construction. You can’t go wrong!

creamy like dunlop pedals

This pedal is amazing for the price. All nady pedals are great for the novice to the pro players. They are sleepers in the pedal world for sure. This is an analog pedal also ! I compare all pedals to dunlop and wld not keep this item unless it gave me that creamy dunlop sound !

Love to Flange

Excellent pedal in an all metal enclosure this will last for ever. Amazing sound if you’re into Flanging 👍🏻🤩

Pleasantly surprised

Very flexible Flanger. it has a very transparent tone to it when you want it to can do all the typical cool flanger tricks has a nice soft switch it doesn’t click. This is my fourth flanger and it out performs the joyo and iset by a mile because those have a weak clanging sound and tend to scream at certain settings.

Quality Flange

This Flanger pedal delivers a warm and buttery sound. Nothing overwhelming. Very 70's sounding. None of that metal sound that other Flanger pedals produce. Only downside, this pedal is pretty big. Consider that if space on your pedal board is limited.

A cheap little pedal- not made the best (durability wise- I'm guessing due to feel

A cheap little pedal- not made the best (durability wise- I'm guessing due to feel.) it's a little small, and I miss my BOSS 2... but it gets the job done and is very affordable.
