It works!!!
Not much to say other than I plugged it in and it worked. No more static on my phone line.It is my understanding that DSL comes into the home via phone lines along with other signals traveling along the same lines. The DSL filter separates out the high frequencies used for the high speed Internet from the lower frequencies used for devices such as the phone or fax. This eliminates the interference between the different frequencies that can cause lower internet speeds as well as static on the phone or fax.I connected the filter to the phone line going into my phone, not to the modem. It worked. This little filter eliminated the static on my phone leaving me a happy camper. If I need a filter for any other device, I won't hesitate to buy this brand again.

Good, clear phone line.
This worked exactly as I hoped. It was easy to connect and the phone line is very clear.

Seems to work fine.
Was required by new phone to have this connected to my landline. I seem to have a lot less trouble with telemarketers since installing. Hmmm.

i would purchase again
didn't help as much as i had hoped for. my static issues was from another source so my review should not carry a lot of weight. i should have better identified my issue prior to purchase

Didn't work for my phone.
I thought this filter would help with static on my land line. It did not. I replaced my entire phone system already and it still has the static. Maybe it will work for others though.

Shared DSL cable/phone service static
If you have a phone service that shares a DSL cable service, this is for you. I had static in two older AT&T phones in my home, while newer phones didn't. After replacing one of the older AT&T phones with a new phone of the same model, I still had static. After a little research I discovered this filter. I installed it on the output of my DSL phone modem and my problem was fixed.

Check with your service provider....
Thought I would need it or at least use it, but after contacting my phone's service provider I found out that it was needed if I had a 'certain' modem/router. Which I had. So device wasn't needed. Had I known before ordering, I wouldn't have ordered it in the first place. The device? If you are having to use it, it does what it's suppose to. Cuts out background noise and interference. But, again, check with your service provider and ask them if one is needed or if they offer one (which they usually do) to solve the problem. Since I don't have a need for one, it now sits historically in my junk tool box. Maybe I will need it sooner or later and if I do need one, it's there

Just what I needed
Got a new cordless phone system and the answering machine made a high pitched loud screech . Research said VIOP line (cable) needed a filter. Reviews said this &internet worked and they were right! Phone works perfectly now. Would give it 10 stars if I could!
