I'm very pleased with this purchase. First of all, the packaging was very nice(brown square envelope tied with a white bow, scarf inside packaged in thin sealed plastic) which I unfortunately did not think to take a picture of, but it was nice enough packaging for giving it as a gift to someone if that's what you plan to do. Second, I made sure to wash it right away as I do with all my online clothing/fabric purchases. I was scared that the colors would run or it would wear down, but it didn't! So if you had that question, yes it can survive a wash. The company recommends handwashing in lukewarm or cool water with a neutral detergent. I was too lazy so I threw it in the machine with like fabrics in cool water with a fragrance/dye free detergent and that was fine. The fabric is quite thin and sheer. If I lay it flat on my bed, I can clearly see the design of my bed sheets through it, so it is not opaque. If you fold it in half, it is a little more opaque. It is very soft and because of this, when used as a head wrap, it can be very slidy, so you have to fasten it well, but it can still work. The scarf is 35x35 as described. Inches sometimes throw people off so bear in mind, it's almost 3ft long and wide. Overall great quality and came exactly as described which I appreciate. I'd buy again.A little update as of July 24, 2020:After having this scarf over a month, I've washed it multiple times in the machine(cool water with like fabrics and fragrance/dye free detergent) with no problems. Color is still vibrant and the scarf is still perfectly in tact. If you plan to machine wash, make sure you put it in with like fabrics. Don't throw it in the machine with jeans or bras or anything that could hook onto it and tear it in the process. I'd also like to add that my washing machine is a high efficiency washer that solely uses shaking and spinning as agitation. IF you by chance have an older style washing machine with the agitator protruding from the middle of the machine which jolts the clothes back and forth, maybe be more cautious about machine washing, it might be best for you to hand wash. I'm not saying that an old-fashioned washer will damage it, I just don't know if the only reason my scarf survived many washes is because my washer does not have that kind of agitator. Just wanted to give that little disclaimer because I don't want someone to mess up their scarf because of my review! Still happy with my purchase.

This scarf is beautiful. Can be worn in many ways. Is a bit thicker than I imagined, more of a satin feel. The size is generous for my use. Only being printed on one side is a point off from me as it does limit the way one might decide to use it. I will keep as the colors blend well for many fall and winter outfits.

It is beautiful and arrived (colored) just as I had hoped. I use it as a head scarf most often. I am glad I invested in this wardrobe accessory.

This scarf met all my expectations. I bought a white one so that I could paint it for a friend. It is indeed 100% silk. The material is very sheer (transparent) and has a slight sheen, very smooth and soft. The drape was beautiful. I'm buying another to paint for another gift.

If you want a scarf that is vibrant and soft as silk, this may fit the bill. However, if you want that scarf to also be 100% silk, you may want to keep shopping. This item, may be from China, it is NOT, however, 100% silk.
