This pick up tool works very well for me with it's strong magnet. I used it to pick up screws dropped below the car headlight assembly and used it's magnet to hold the bolt and then to start the bolts deep under the headlight. Once the bolt was started I could then use deep socket and extension to tighten the bolt.This pick up tool was also very flexible and sturdy so that I could insert it straight into the bolt hole under the headlight.

Love the strong magnet. Use it for retrieving small nuts and bolts. Works great!

Years ago I picked this sort of "grabber" out of a clearance bin in a Auto Parts store onf impulse. It was a short version of the sort of tool and I used it a lot and I abused it: I would start screws with it I would stick into places just to see whate was there etc. Then one of the little tangs broke and then another.I missed it and all I could find were longer and many of my improvised uses were not appropriate to the longer version, so I bought this and it seems more appropriate AND IT HAS A LIGHT! I have not figured out how to replace the lights power source so that may prove, at last, not to be such a "feature" but it is well made with good spring steel "tangs," The "action" (a hypordermic needle type plunger) is substantial and positive in its feel.I am pleased thus far.
