SITKA Gear Men's Core Lightweight Hunting Hoody

One of my favorite pieces, worn in several hunts & multiple days hunting & camping. Wear it when it’s hot/warm obviously, but also over a base when it gets cold. Blows my mind how much this light piece adds to warmth, versatility, & regulation of temp. Pair with a heavier hoody, a GoreTex shell (DWJ,) & I’m pretty golden most of the time. I’ll add a vest if it’s getting to teens/low 20 but probably not if I have the waders on.I’m between a XL & XXL in most shirts, really depends on manufacturer. Chart recommended XL based on millions of reviews, so based on 1 review, trust me? I’m really glad I ignored them & ordered XXL. It fits perfect, but I really wanted it to be a little bit big.

This is my second core lightweight, but the first one in Sitka's non camo colors. I was wearing my sub alpine shirt so often, I needed a second (and a third) This hot weather shirt is superior to other high end brand name camo for 3 reasons. First, the waffle knit is exceptionally breathable. This is not just another nylon light weigh production shirt. (Hulk, Kuiu) It is a performance shirt with performance fabric that never sticks to your skin. Second, the zipper. I can't for the life of me figure out why other camo makers won't put a zipper on their "hot weather camo." (Kuiu) You can dump significant heat from using the feature. Any weight added by the zipper is well spent. Last, the hood. As an early season bow hunter, you need a hoodie that does not change your anchor point and spoil the shot. Sitka's shirt is light enough to feel the anchor through and if you want, you can pull that side of the hoodie back to your ear so you have face contact.

Very Impressive with how lightweight it is but fits so nice like a hoodie. Definitely worth the price. Very happy with the purchases and will be buying more soon.

Sometimes I wonder if the brand is priced so high because it’s a fad but I love this. Stayed dry and was warm in the cold and cool in the heat. Worth the spend!

This thing is light light light. Super breathable, really lets air flow thru it. I wouldn't count on this as a thermal layer, its really meant to warm weather where you need to be covered up. The hood with the integrated face mask is going to be perfect for turkey hunting and bow hunting in the fall. The fit was fairly loose, I ordered the 3X, and it fit comfotably loose, but not billowy in the wind.

Haven't used it in a hunt yet. Wear medium and... It's a little tighter than I'd like when wearing an undershirt. It feels 'fitted'. Some may like that. I would have preferred some extra room but I'll give it a chance. Feels like it would work great in all weather. When cold, use as mid layer. Hot, use as outer. Color is great, elevated ii. Very thin but it's what I wanted. Just a light camo I can wear in any weather. Durability remains to be seen... If anything rips, I'll update. If I bought again, I may go one size up.
