Great outline of "essential" Chinese medicinal formulas (combinations) with modifications. The book is written tersely and is a very valuable study guide. Highly recommended for prioritized study. Carefully written with well thought out explanations. Doesn't replace Dan Bensky & Randy Barolet's "Chinese Herbal Medicine - Formulas & Strategies" but then it does not purport to do so.

Great book for the newer student in Chinese herbal medicine. This takes some of the guess work out of making your own formulas.

As a TCM student, this book really does help identify 70 essential herbal formulas (my little cheat sheet instead of lugging my huge herb book). Delivered very quickly. Thank you!
