Prevent Battery Leak Damage
I only occasionally use some of my older radios. Battery leaks from D cells are a worry. These adapters keep the actual cells isolated from the terminals. If there is a leak, there should be minimal damage to the terminals and I can just throw out the adapter. I just by AC/Delco AA batteries in bulk. They're decent quality and cheap.

Work very well
Great and easy replacement for the old "D" cell batteries.

Very nice adapters for AA to D cells
I use these in my flashlights that use D cells, allows me to insert 3 Energizer Lithium batteries in each adapter and I don't have to worry about leakage or reduced use in hot or cold weather while it's in the car. It is very snug and does require a small screwdriver to pop out one cell, allowing other two to be pushed out. No issues, time will tell for long term durability.

Excellent AA to D-Cell battery adapter, allows using non-leaking Lithium AA's in D-Cell devices
The "DESLRKIT 3AA(LR6) to D Size Parallel Battery Convertor Adapter" is an excellent choice to substitute non-leaking AA LITHIUM batteries in D-Cell devices, like flashlights. Since D-Cell lithium batteries are not available, these AA adapters are an excellent alternative to [eventually] leaking D cell batteries and destruction of the device. For example, after a leaking Energizer D cell ALKALINE battery destroyed my expensive MagLite flashlight, Energizer would not honor their device replacement warranty since the battery was [slightly] beyond the warranty date, a loophole that destroyed my confidence in Energizer, and all battery manufacturers, where a 50 cent battery ruined a $50 flashlight!Although, old style cheap low performance "HEAVY DUTY" (an oxymoron) "zinc-carbon" batteries, that are still available today, often leak within months and have ruined countless devices. Whereas, newer style ALKALINE batteries with device warranties typically expire within 5 to 10 years, however, they still leak and ruin devices. To minimize your risk, check the expiration date on each battery periodically. If expired, remove and dispose, regardless if clean and still holding a good charge, to avoid possible leakage destroying your device without warranty recourse. Of course, this creates unnecessary waste and is a scam to decrease the manufacturer's liability and increase battery sales. The latest style Energizer AA (and AAA) LITHIUM batteries and devices are warranted for 25 years, far longer than than traditional D (and C) cells, where, the smaller lithium batteries are not known to leak per se. Although being relatively new technology, it will take decades to prove-out. Nevertheless, a 25 year warranty is terrific and offsets the higher cost when storing devices for long periods without periodically replacing and trashing otherwise good batteries. Another advantage using lithium batteries is the lighter weight compared to alkaline batteries. The downside is a lower milli-amperage rating of the 3-AA cell cartridges compared to alkaline D cells, where so far, have not noticed a difference in the MagLite lumens.Have replaced all my D cell battery devices with these adapters, placing 3 AA's in each and up to 6 adapters in-series for the longer 6 D cell flashlights. Since the diameter of the adapter is slightly smaller than the D cell, they rattle inside flashlights. To reduce the rattle, a piece of printer paper was cut down to size and wrapped around the series of adapters, overlapping about 1-1/2 turns, but leaving enough space between the cells and the tube wall to allow the adapters to easily slide in and out of the flashlight. It is expected never to buy D cells again for flashlights while using these AA adapters, and saving money buying lithium AA's in bulk packages.

Great to have around!
Having these around are handy as you don't always have d batteries when you need them but AA's are every where. I keep these in my emergency kits as well.

Super handy! I always have D Cells available!
I rarely need a D Cell battery and when I do I rarely have one. Then I need to make an extra trip to the store to buy D cell batteries.I bought these adapters because I always have AA and AAA batteries on hand. Now I have D cell batteries on hand all the time too! This is just a great idea!

Good value
Works well and a better solution than the single cell shells that are being sold. With these you have the option to run 1,2 or 3 cells per adapter because they are operating in parallel. For the ones that may not know, the reason for this is the milliamp hour rating of the individual cells. A "AA" cell milliamp rating is far less than a "D" cell. If used in a flashlight for example it would be just as bright, both being rated at 1.5 volts, the run time of the "D" cells would probably be 3 to 4 times longer. Therefor the advantage of using multiple cells in the adapter versus just one. Please put the same number of cells in each adapter that is being used in a single device.
