The 10 yoa grandson loved it for his room...Very unique gift.

My husband and I first saw a sand picture in a Louis Vuitton window display in Vegas, it was mesmerizing and so appropriate considering the fact that we were in a desert, and my husband was born in the desert. The image stuck with us and I wanted him to have a part of his home so I chose to get him the Glowbee Black for Valentines Day. I received it on time and in perfect condition. I had it out of the box during midday for about an hour while I arranged and wrapped the other gifts, then I wrapped it up and kept it wrapped until that evening. It came with very few bubbles which is perfect to demonstrate what the sand picture will do, but in fast forward. It did come with the syringe and other tools to adjust the bubbles at a later time. When he opened it at night in purposefully low light, it did not glow. I can attribute that to the fact that it had been wrapped. We're not planning on putting it to use until after we move, and if it still doesn't glow at that point I'll update my review but for now, he's very happy with it.

I rarely write reviews. This item is exactly as adverted. It is perfect. Came ready to display. Instructions to add air are easy to follow, and will ensure long life. I had bought another, more expensive artist brand several years ago that did not have the option to add air or water and after a few years it became unusable. This is a superior, at a great price point item... I will happily display this in my office for YEARS to come. Thank you!

Even with adjustment, the sand doesn't fall smoothly. After just a short period of time, it seems to need adjusting again. Obviously it isn't sealed very well if it needs constant adjustment.

This was purchased as a gift for the doctor in our office. She absolutely loves it. Best gift our staff has gotten her in a long time.

This piece looks amazing! There is not enough water in the frame currently, but I do not want to open the syringe (which is tamper-evident wrapped) to correct before gifting it. There is, however, enough water for me to play with it a bit and even without the correct air/water ratio, it is still mesmerizing to watch! I am strongly considering purchasing one for myself. The size would be great for a desk or end table. The different colors of sand seem to have different densities which keep the patterns in the sand looking beautiful.

Very relaxing to watch change shapes.
