Happy with the set! Good strong beam of red light to use on the prisms. No instructions in English but honestly I don't think instructions are necessary since the set would be used in conjunction with other resourcesVery happy with this. Very cheap for the good qualilty

Chinese manufacturing has improved to a level that can rival most of the world. Unfortunately this set turns the clock back to the era when 'MADE IN CHINA' meant 'Cheap and nasty'.Most people would probably expect the box to contain glass prisms and lenses roughly the depth of the box. They are in fact only 9.5 mm thick and made of cast resin, not glass. Their crude surfaces detract from demonstrations.The 'light generator' produces 3 dim red beams, so dim that you have to use them in a darkened room. The height of the beam is 7.5 mm to 10.5 mm which does not tie in well with the 9.5 mm prisms. You have to place the prisms on a surface a few mm higher than the 'light generator'. The box lid is roughly the right thickness and has some markings to help show the diffraction.I really cannot recommend this set to anyone. It's contents are about on par with the sort of things you get in a cheap set of Christmas crackers. On second thoughts, that is a bit insulting to Christmas cracker manufacturers.

Very useful for teaching optics to non scientists as they can manipulate the 3 laser beams to focus, defocus, and calculate proof if you’re going to take it that far.
