Another way to get trace mineral iodine in diet since WHO says ...
Definately beneficial 4 me. I take liquid food grade iodine as drops daily to keep metabolic processes functioning normal. But pill is nice when away from home to add to daily pill box. WHO (World Health Organization says 70 percent of world pop. is deficient in iodine unless you eat seaweed or live within 100 miles of sea.After few months, I no longer had iregular heart beat in my mid 60's 10 yrs ago.. I could not lie on my back w/out getting headache. Could not read on my cell, now much calmer around noisey grands, & greats, stopped having monthly tender breasts even though I was way past menopause. If I miss my daily dose, for a few days, tenderness returns. This is just the things I know it helps.The 150 mcg daily standard was set in 1920's when it was added to salt to help irradicate preponderance of goiters in Midwest. It worked and has not been increased since. Science has come a long way. Japanese get 20/25 milligrams daily, probably from seaweed; seem to have preponderance of child prodigies. I have read that a pregnancy w/out iodine could result in a retarded child. Research and doctors advice beneficial. (PS, I've heard that doctors get little training regarding iodine). A very high-strung friend, a senior as well, empties one 25 milligram capsul in gallon of drinking water and consumes glass per day or more daily. She is much calmer an does not rush her speech. I only have my testimony & my research. Do Diligence. I did research for 3 months b4 starting w/7 drops and increasing to 15 to 20 drops daily from 2 Oz liquid bottle. These days I just just squeeze under half dropper give or take.. The 25 milligram capsuls were too much for me.. Daily pills ashawaganda are probably sufficient as well. DO DILIGIENCE FIRST*** though*** look up iodine deficiency. My health care doctors know I take iodine daily. It helps with internal metabolic processes It may for a while cause mild reactions such as anxiety, or sleepiness. But clears up after regular use and your system adjusts. Check for wholistic doctors. Regular doctors seem to know little if you don't already have thyroid problem. Helpful as hoped, & a bonus being Organic & including Black Pepper Extract for additional absorpsion
I'd been experiencing quite a bit more stress than usual (not surprising really, given the times), & I had a bottle of Ashwagandha capsules from another brand, but ran out; I wanted to purchase another bottle and decided I would take a look at other brands and compare with what I had been taking already before. This Terranics option seemed like a really good all-around value, so I decided to give it a try to see how it worked with my body, and not surprisingly, it has had a wonderful benefit even with only one or 2 capsules at a time (instead of the recommended 3 capsules per serving), and also of course at 3 capsules. Due to the Black Pepper Extract offering 5 mgs [per CAP], the absorption of the Ashwagandha may actually be increased and so the effectiveness of this product is more likely to be noticed, which is what someone wants when trying to help with STRESS (which is obviously super important to maintain control of, whether it's acutely noticed/felt, or just low-level yet continuous).Anyway, this has surpassed my hopes to address what I'd been dealing with from job uncertainty and work-related stressors, and I'm also sharing with my partner, because she also likes taking this now to help with calming down in the evenings to ease more smoothly into a more restful state. Hopefully this will continue to work its magic and ease tension these days, and although I'm probably going to have to increase my dosage to 2-3 capsules more often, I'm certainly more than happy to continue trying this supplement option out in the coming months and hopefully years (with hopefully less natural need if I can help it;)Thanks very much for a really helpful supplement!

Excellent NATURAL Way to Reduce Anxiety!!
Who ISN'T stressed or anxious these days... am I right?While I'm no stranger to taking vitamins and supplements, I was a little skeptical about all the claims people seem to make about ashwagandha (It can't be THAT amazing, can it?). Let me tell you... IT IS.I started off with taking just one capsule a day to see how my body would react to it. Within about a week, I started to see a noticeable improvement in how my daily stress levels were affecting me. I'm currently on a prescription medication, one of its side effects is that it can make people feel jittery and "on edge". I've experienced this side effect for years and have just learned to deal with it. When I started taking a second ashwagandha pill in the morning along with my medication, I immediately saw a huge reduction in these side effects. I'm much less jittery during the day, and have noticed a slight improvement in my overall mood which has been wonderful.Unfortunately it looks like this specific brand is not longer available (Amazon, please re-stock this!), but I am a big fan of ashwagandha now and will continue to incorporate it into my daily supplements for the forseeable future!

like it but...
I don't know why but it seems to do almost the opposite in some things than what others claim. It's supposed to lower blood sugar but my fasting blood sugar shot up to 146 after taking 3 at night. Did I take too much? I don't know. Also rather than an energy boost if I take it during the day it is like a sleeping pill and puts me to sleep. I take it at night though and sleep like a baby and wake up feeling great. So it is great for that. But I don't want to wake up with high fasting blood sugar either. I tested to see if it was indeed the ashwaganda and did not take it last night and my blood sugar was quite a bit lower this morning so I suspect it is the ashwaganda doing it. Was really hoping this would lower my blood sugar as claimed in many articles I've read. It does definitely have a stress reducing action. It makes you feel stable and normal and like yourself when you are under stress and able to think clearly. Not sure what I will do about taking it. I will try one capsule at night and see how that affects me.
