UPDATE: So I did the steps test yesterday, and come to find out, both this tracker and the Fitibit accurately measured my steps (there was a 1-2 step variation between trackers, but no big deal, and both were within 1% of the actual number of steps). so I'm bumping my rating up to 4 stars. It still has the problem with sleep tracking (shows sleep start ~1 hour later than actual, and sleep end ~10 later than actual), and the app doesn't include weight or calorie tracking. If they fix these things, then it's a 5 star activity tracker!One other note about step tracking: the Fitibit can accurately count my steps while in my pocket, but the DBPower device does not seem able to do this. My guess is that the DBPower device needs to sense your wrist for the step tracker to be turned on.First, let me mention that I received this activity tracker free from the seller in exchange for a product review.Second, my experience with the tracker is about 1 week. I may come back later and update this review after I've had more experience with it.Third, I've used a Fitbit activity tracker for the last 4 years, so basically my review will be my impressions based on my previous experience with the Fitbit.Overall, this is a pretty good little activity tacker, especially given the price. It seems to have all the features of my old Fitbit Alta (non-HR version), plus this has the heart rate feature and temperature. It fits lightly on my wrist so I barely know it's there. The display is large and easy to read, and not to difficult to navigate, once you get the hang of it. The heart rate feature also seems to be pretty accurate, at least compared to the typical reading I get at the doctor's office.On the downside: 1) the sleep tracker starts and ends late. This activity tracker usually shows my sleep start time a good hour or more later than when I fell asleep. It also shows my sleep end time about 10 minutes or so after I get up. 2) The steps tracker also seems to be way off - at least compared to what the Fitbit used to measure (I'm going to wear both today to get a better comparison). 3) I really like the temp feature on this device but found that I have to have the app open on my phone to get updates (I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this, though I wish there was a way it could get the temps from another source so I don't have to keep the app open).The phone app is OK, but not as easy to navigate as the Fitbit's. The options aren't as rich and it lacks features like weight tracking and caloric intake, two features I guess I took for granted with the Fitbit.Bottom line, I think if the seller were able to update the device firmware to track sleep better and give an option for another non-app temp source, and add the weight and calorie tracker to the app, this tracker would be a steal, well worth the price.

I have been using the DBPOWER Activity Tracker & Heart Rate Monitor for about 4 days. I bought this because I wanted a sleep tracker and step counter. I normally wear a watch so this is barely noticeable because it's smaller and lighter. The all black design looks good and basic. I like the app that lets me see trends in steps, sleep and heart rate on my phone. It connects and updates the phone in a few seconds. As far as step accuracy goes, the numbers are similar to a watch I own that has a step tracker so I figure it's accurate. For sleep, I get deep sleep, light sleep and total sleep hours. Here I really don't know if it's accurate or not, but I have noticed on days where I had less deep sleep the night before, I felt more tired and weaker. This is very interesting to track and see if I can correlate it with stress, exercise and alcohol use. The only thing that doesn't look right is the start time and end time. The start time is usually an hour or so after I go to bed and the wake up time is usually 30 minutes or so after I wake up. Finally, heartbeat looks accurate based on what I know my resting heart rate to be. I would like to use it while exercising but it would be better to have always on display or a gesture to wake it up. My only complaint is that when I look at the graph of heart rate during the day, there are some spikes that don't make sense. The weather function is handy and the display is clear and legible. A color display would be nice but at this price I can see why it's monochrome. I briefly tried some of the other functions and they work and could be useful: audio player control, camera control, sedentary alarm and multiple types of alarms. I didn't try the breathing (mindfulness). My biggest complaint is that I assumed the bluetooth would be on by default and it was frustrating before I realized I had to turn it on. I like this enough that I may buy one for my son, especially at this price I won't be too upset if he loses it.
