3-in-1 Goal and Trainer

Didn't last long
When we got the goal, my kids were beyond excited. One of the latches that holds it together was broken :( my kids didn't care they just wanted to play.We put it all together and as soon as we put on the soccer goal trainer, it ripped. My kids had it about a month and a half and now both clips are broken and it is coming apart.I works better than the cheap pvc goals, but for almost $100 with the shipping, you would think it would last longer.I wasn't had to put together, however disappointed that it was broken when we got it and that it has cheap plastic clips thatare the adjusters are to cheap for this product.

Damaged & Disappointed
The frame and nets themselves seem to be great products. My kids and their friends (ages 7-10) are enjoying the product. It is fairly sturdy (despite damages noted below), although the stakes are not. We used stakes we have at home to keep the goal in place. The reason the rating is a 2 & not a 4 or 5 is due to the condition of the framework, which was broken/cracked and bent when received. But we had kids coming over for a party and my son wanted the product for the party, so I re-bent and added screws and nuts. No time to return it. It was evident, upon opening the box, that the product had been returned by someone else; & Amazon (?) simply re-taped the box and sent a defective product w/o replacing broken parts. We are incredibly disappointed b/c the majority of our experiences w/ Amazon has been good. (have pics of damages, but don't know how to upload - sorry)...hope this helps.

Not great
It is so so- you can take it apart and travel with it like they claim. It is a pain to put it together. Once it is up, that's it.It also rusts if you leave it outside in the rain.

Defective Velcro Straps
Enjoyed the net in the first year, but in the second year the majority of the velcro straps broke/ripped off.

Good net
Five years old now and still in use. Takes abuse. Velcro will need replace every year or so but UV light does not harm the net.

Great addition to the yard
Great addition to the yard! Pretty sturdy for a practice net. My son uses one side and my 2 year old uses the other at the same time. I like th rebounding net and the clips are holding up fairly well. Easy to move around.

twice ordered both times hardware missing
First time we got this, the hardware (nuts/bolts/washers) were completely missing. Amazon decided to send a new one and let me send this one back. the new one came. we found a hardware package, but some of the wingnuts were missing. Mitre/Regent was hard to locate and took a week to respond. Amazon responded once I contacted them, and were responsive, but the product contents were poorly assembled, missing key hardware. This was supposed to be a nice 9 year-old's birthday gift. instead, it has turned into a giant hassle. and we still haven't used the goal.UPDATE 9/19/12after a trip to the hardware store and several conversations with Amazon customer service did we finally get the goal up and running. Our dilemma ended up "fine", but with a few hiccups at the end, when the agent wasn't initially going to honor the agent from-the-day-before's offer of UPS Pickup, either because of lack of understanding or just deciding she/he didn't want to make it happen--only after I "respectfully requested to speak with the manager" did she/he acquiesce. UPS picked up the second goal and we got a partial refund for the missing parts of the goal we kept.Quality: It is not heavy duty, but it should work. My boys really have enjoyed both the rebounder and the target cover. ages 7 and 9, with 48 year-old dad, each gave his level best shots and the goal withstood our pounding. we did not take many on the goal net itself (one reviewer experienced a rip within days), but so far it's holding up. I think for the boys and their older sisters, this should work fine as a backyard goal, but I will report back if any extraordinary product malfunctions happen early on. The goal is held in place by four flimsy stakes that have already bent. Several hard shots have raised the goal with stakes, and my young boys bent them by trying to step them back into the rain-softened ground at a slight angle. so, not too sturdy. Perhaps sandbags in the corners would work. that's mostly needed when you use the goal for rebounding. This goal looks suspiciously like the Franklin rebounder listed on amazon, and this Mitre goal, with extra features, is cheaper. I don't know if Franklin pays more attention to packing hardware than "Mitre" did (they may be the same company), but if you are considering Franklin, you might consider this Mitre goal.
