I ordered these hoping they were more adjustable than they ended up being - perhaps an adjustable shaft rather than the 10" joinable variety - because my kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and there's an 9" drop difference between my two lights. Fortunately, I was able to get a tube cutter for $5.99 and cut each tube end about 1/2" and then also cut one of the threaded inserts accordingly to fit. Visualizing it - and coming to terms with the associated risk - took the most time but I was thrilled with the results; the two are perfectly parallel to the countertop. You can shorten each rod by about 1" total and still use the threading but you can't shorten the end that attaches directly to the light and you can only take 1/4" off the end that connects to the pivoting rod on the mounting end. It probably/hopefully will make more sense when you see how they're assembled. However, <<pro tip>> measure twice and cut once since you won't be able to return them afterward. Anyway, they look really nice.

Installed this item about a month ago, along with other lights very similar to spruce up my kitchen. I absolutely love this piece, It definitely looks amazing over my kitchen sink! Great buy!!

I haven’t been able to use them. Nothing wrong with them. They just won’t work in my new house.Is it possible to return them?
