It's our go-to for fleas.
Does the job. Keeps the critters off of my critter and keeps her comfortable. We use the feline on our cats and this on our dog. This stuff helped us get ahead of a serious flea problem. We still had to treat all of the soft surfaces in our house but, this worked like a dream on our animals. We buy consistently now.

Quality flea and tick protection for quality price
I have a 70 pound border collie who has a lot of fur. I was using Frontline on him for a little while, but it was getting very expensive. I mentioned it to my vet and asked if he recommended something I could that was cheaper for flea and tick prevention. He said to stay away from a LOT of products on the market, especially the very cheap ones, but he mentioned that anything that contains fipronil is safe to use. I found this product by searching "fipronil for dogs". We were getting ready to go on a camping trip and we were taking our dog, and I wanted to make sure that he was protected from any fleas/ticks he encountered.I put it on the spot in between his shoulders. I made sure to spread his fur apart and get it right into his skin. My collie is very calm and has never given me an issue with anything I have done to him (bathing, brushing, clipping his nails) but he flinched a little when I put this on him. I tried to get it all on his skin, but I noticed that the next day the spot where I put it was white and looked like I had spilled some kind of powder on him. From reading other reviews, this is normal. It seemed like the area was a little damp, so in case it may stain, I kept him on his bed and away from the couches/chairs that night. This is the important part...the next day, we left for our trip. My dog hiked, swam in the lake, slept by the campfire, rolled in grass and dirt and had a great time. When we were packed and ready to go home two days later, he got in our car and sat down on his white blanket...and a TICK fell off his chest. It looked lifeless to me, but I immediately crushed it. To me, there's the proof right there.I treat my dog monthly with this product from the months of about April-October. We live in a climate where there is quite a bit of snow from around the end of fall to the beginning of Spring, so I don't treat him during those months. I really like this product and recommend it to anyone who wants quality flea and tick protection for their dog and don't want to pay the cost of Frontline.

Works with some issues
The formula flowed out quicker than expected and there was a large amount for one area, I ended up with as much on me as on my dog. Later when it dried it looked like candle wax on their fur until that was worn off. Appears to be doing the job of protecting against fleas so I'll keep using it as it is far cheaper than others & appears to work.

Leaves a white residue—past applications have not
I’ve been using Sentry for years with no problems. I assume it works because my dog has never had a problem with fleas, etc.The application has always been clear liquid. This new box I bought was also a clear liquid, but 24 hours after application, it turned white and my dog looks like she’s had her hair bleached!! Upon close inspection, I’m fairly certain that the Sentry liquid has left a white residue—her hair hasn’t actually been bleached. But it’s really convincing and unnerving.

Flea & Tick
Keeps fleas at bay and dries up ticks, if they get on my dogs. Works much better than front line, whick i swear the last box i bought was only water. I have a dog who is allergic to quiet a few things, but this did not bother her. Will buy again

same as the name brand, but cheaper
My understanding is that the drug in Frontline recently came out of patent or copyright protection, whatever it is, and that this product is a generic version of Frontline. It has the exact same effect as Frontline for my dog (no more fleas), and it's much cheaper, so why not? The only difference I can see is that it is a bit more liquidy than Frontline, but the applicators are much easier to use than the Frontline applicators. Be sure to wear gloves when you treat your dog; I inevitably get it on my fingers, and who knows what thet drug would do to a person once absorbed through the skin?
