A perfect lovie for the baby, but know that the head has a little light rattle in it. Maybe this is a problem, maybe it's not? I would think a rattle would be distracting to the kid if i wanted to help them go to sleep with this comfort lovie, but right now she's more interested in sticking her feet through the crib slats and babbling to herself.

We felt very comfortable giving this as a gift to a newborn.
