Excellent!
This was a great purchase.My 3 year old and I went just returned from a trip to NYC.This splitter was great, we were able to listen to my iPod together and I only had to pay once for DirectTV on the plane because we were both able to listen.This is a must for 2 travelers (especially if the 2 travelers are kids!!!)Be warned that the splitter does DRAMATICALLY reduce the volume of whatever device you are listening to.I would purchase again and/or recommend to friends

Decent product and does what it is supposed to!
Kids broke previous volume limiting devices. This one has held up nicely!You do lose some volume when connecting both headphones but that's to be expected with this design.

Disposable junk
The first volume splitter cable I bought worked for almost a year (used once a week) before giving out. The one I bought to replace it stopped working within a few months. These are junk. I won't be buying again.

no volume!
This splitter just plain doesn't work! We were dumb and didn't test it before our cross country flight. With both kids' headphones plugged in, there was absolutely no sound... even with all volumes turned up. If one of the headphones is unplugged, you could hear a very faint, barely audible sound that didn't suffice on a loud plane. It basically killed all volume from the iPad. Don't buy this!! We had one unhappy kid at all times on the flight... makes for unhappy parents too.

Perfect for sharing!
I have two boys who are constantly fighting over their devices (video game systems and Apple products) and headphones. With the Kidz Gear Headphone Volume Limit Splitter both my boys can listen to videos they watch on one device. For example a movie on the iPad can now be watched by both and listed via two pairs of headphones! They share and I don't have to listen to complaining, whining or whatever they are listening to! It is easy to use, just connect two pairs of headphones and attach this cord to the device.
