Worked eventually but poor documentation meant hours wasted in figuring out
Did not work despite hours of tinkering and searching google for possible solutions.EDIT: Upgraded to 3 stars. After hours of banging my head on the wall, I finally figured out what it takes to make the receiver work with an Arduino Uno. Wire the pin marked CS to a digital GPIO pin and pull it down to logical low explicitly in the code. Do this and it works like a charm!

Works well as a simple on/off switch
While the emphasis for these is for data transmission, my application was just a simple on/off switch. Turning he transmitter on gave a signal I used to trigger another device. The range was quite good. I tested up to 20 feet.

1 out of 3
1 out of 3 ended up working. You get what you pay for I guess.

Great value
Great value. Well over 150 feet reception using the provided transmitter antenna and a homemade dipole receiver antenna. No antenna expert but probably could get more.
