Why do TV manufacturers only build in so few HDMI ports?Considering virtually every new piece of equipment has HDMI as a connection, it would make sense to have at least X5 HDMI ports!This little box is the answer.Very easy to install, X1 HDMI cable plugs into the port on this box that is labelled "Out" and the other end of the cable plugs into X1 available HDMI on your TV, (try to see on next to which hole you use, what it says next to it, be something like HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 etc, as this will help later on, finding the correct HDMI to watch/use).Then connect your other bits of equipment, from their HDMI cables, each into the remaining empty HDMI ports on this little box.The only other things left to do is connect the little cable with the eye looking thing, (IR), it can only plug into one hole, which is marked, IR.Finally connect the supplied USB cable to the box and the other end into any empty USB port on your TV, this is what powers this box.If you don't have a USB on your TV or none available, you will unfortunately need to purchase a 3 pin mains adapter with USB slot on, just be sure it is the correct voltage for this item, they are widely available and are not expensive, you may even already have one, as quite often they are supplied with mobile phones etc.Once powered, just use your TV as normal and either select the appropriate HDMI equipment by using the supplied remote or by simply pressing the button on this unit.Do remember that the equipment to use must be powered on, (turned on), to send its HDMI signal out, before it can be selected.Hope this helps.

At last I was able to find the right connector for my HDMI cables. It works fine, picture and sound are pretty good. One thing though, the remote control does not work. Shame that. Still, it is not a problem I can adjust the connections manually by just simply pressing a button.

The power connector wouldn’t slip inside the box all the way. Is that normal? Anyone had a similar experience?

What can I use to label the buttons. A sharpie wipes off.It does everything is was sold as.

When it arrived I put it to 1 side to install later, when I eventually got to install it didn't work on all ports regardless if the appliance was on or off, I wasted my money on this product 😡😡😡

Changed HDMI cables from 2 to1.

Very good quality product works well.The unit doesn't need a power lead usually... However some devices e.g. some SKY boxes don't output 5v down the HDMI cable.This can cause the unit to malfunction - use the usb power cable if you are having issues.You should get a usb power lead with the unit. If your unfortunate not to receive one with the unit or you need a longer one, you'll need a USB to 3.5mm Barrel Jack 5V DC Power Cable.
