October Mountain Products OMP Mountaineer 2.0 Take Down Right Hand Recurve Bow

I really do like this bow. It is the first time that I use a recurve bow for hunting small game. It’s definitely a learning curve hunting and target shooting barebone. But it’s such a good quality bow with a good price tag.I my bought my first Mountaineer bow at a local archery store. She referred me to using this for my first time. Then a month later I decided to buy another one on Amazon. But this time more draw weight and for the opposite hand. So that both sides of my body would allow me to gain muscle.I like the color scheme and the woodwork on the riser. The varnish it’s self isn’t too reflective for hunting. My hands are medium size. In my opinion, I feel like the handle should be a little bit bigger, especially for those who have larger hands. I’m sure if one has bought this bow and they have large hands. They could comfortably shoot with it perfectly fine. There are also holes to attach your sight, quiver, stabilizer, and biscuit.The limbs are nice and strong. They hold up their form quite well for a long time when strung. Very simple to put on the riser.I read some reviews that the limbs were messed up while being shipped. I can see why. When they shipped the product to me.There was not much padding inside. The riser was wrapped with bubble wrap and the limbs were wrapped in plastic. There was definitely plenty of space for parts to get messed up inside the box.Again, I really do like this model from OMP. It’s a very good quality bow without breaking the bank.

I first saw this bow years ago at a event and have wanted a OMP ever since. Once i got it it is every bit as great as i remember it being. My favorite bow now. Shoots so accurate and solid. I got the 62" 55lbs.

I use this bow almost every day. It's fantastic!

When it was received the riser was so twisted that the bow couldn't even be strung. From tip to tip is was out of alignment by five inches.

This is the first OMP bow I have purchased. I was a little concerned when it came in a box that was definitely not the length of the bow I ordered, but post assembly of it (it comes in 3 parts, the 2 limbs are separate from the grip/center of the bow) shows that it is 62" without a doubt. It already performs better than another 50 lb bow I own and its design makes it that much more appealing.

This is a pretty nice bow for recurve shooters. It shoots well and has strong limbs.
