Perfect!
I was a little hesitant on this purchase because other reviews said the assembly was a nightmare. I'm thinking they didn't recieve all the pieces or holes weren't drilled in right places or something, which is obviously a problem. In my case however, everything was perfect. It took me less than an hour to assemble the table on my own (I'm a 23 year old girl). In my case all the pieces were there, packaged well, shipped pretty quickly, heavy, which was to be expected.I purchased this table because my five year old has recently discovered Lego's. Meaning our nights are filled with the lego batman movie, lego marvel, lego starwars, lego movie, etc. He has his first video games, lego batman 3 and lego marvel for the ps4, his birthday shirt this year has emmitt from the lego movie on it, basically we have a lego fanatic on our hands. The only thing he was missing?Actual legos. So obviously for his 5th birthday he needed himself a nice solid lego table! He has a 3 year old brother who follows in his ever step and is therefore equally lego obsessed. Most lego tables come with one big base plate or 4 regular sized ones and are often that cheap plywood you find yourseld taking knicks and chunks out of during assembly and then every time you try to use the darn thing. I wanted something that would fit more base plates because there are two of them and even for just one, 4 plates isn't nearly enough to build yourself a good city! This table fit 12 of the regular 12x12 plates. If I was handy, I would have cut more to fit it exactly, but I'm not handy so there is space along the edges which is fine. The table is great. Real wood, heavy, assembly was easy, moving it I don't worry it's going to fall apart. I'm sure you can imagine at 3 and 5 two boys can be pretty destructive, I don't fear for the life of this thing. Also, under the table part there are four or five dial rods (I forget exactly) that go across horizontally and then one wood plank that goes vertically so I feel like it was definitely built to hold a decent amount of weight. Not that I would recommend using it as a seat or mountain or anything like that lol, but it appears to be well supported under the table. I definitely like it, definitely did exactly what I wanted it to do. Would recommend, purchase again, whole nine yards.Oh yeah, and it was a hit with the boys too. So glad I get to join the hundreds of moms in the world hopping around in agony after stepping on a darn lego on the floor!

Beautiful, sturdy, excellent quality. Easy to put together.
This table may be a bit more expensive than some of the other 'child's tables', but it well worth every penny. The quality is excellent. It is sturdy and very well built. It's also beautiful. The wood is a neutral color (blond) - unfinished and ready to stain should that be your preference. As far as putting it together, unlike other reviewers who seem to have had a problem, I put ours together in minutes - not difficult at all (btw - I did use an electric drill with screwdriver attachment). I did not stain our table; instead I finished it with three coats of polyurethane (used spray for the table frame, and brush for the table top.) We also purchased the trundle drawers, which are also excellent quality. They match the table perfectly and roll smoothly and easily. (One note: I'd like to compliment the seller. We contacted them after discovering a problem with the table top panels, and they quickly and courteously resolved the issue.) I would definitely buy from this seller again.

Great train table, relatively easy to put together
The table was pretty easy to it together. I did it by myself in about an hour. The table top is in two pieces and sits on top of dowels. It's kind of nice because it's pretty heavy so this allows you to remove the top to move the table. The quality is really good. I had no real issue with setting it up except it took a little elbow grease to get the screws tight.I have a tall 2.5 year old (looks almost 4) and this was the perfect height for her to stand and play. I think this will also work with some kids chairs to make it versatile (to use as a craft table). We currently have a Melissa and Doug train set in it and it works great for that. The top is flat and smooth.

Too Small
Too small for a Lionel Santa Train set. It's only good for a child train set.

It's a nice size and it's actually made of wood, which is part of why we asked for this for my son's birthday gift. Unfortunately, it has been borderline hellish to assemble. The screws provided do not fit into the screw holes, making it impossible to assemble fully and in a sturdy manner. They simply will not go all the way in. I have literally spent hours on different days trying to get them in all the way. As a result, many of the screws stick out up to 1/4 inch or more from their holes and the table is unsteady. I've assembled plenty of furniture over the years and have never had this kind of trouble. At first I thought the problem might be due to summer humidity making the wood expand (which I suppose is possible), but that's really no excuse. We got this table specifically because it seemed nicer and sturdier than many of the mass-market train tables out there, but I'm definitely regretting that decision. I have contacted the company to see if they have any suggestions, but this has been way too much of a pain already and, given that it's already assembled and is also quite large and heavy, returning it seems like it would be quite an ordeal. I'm very disappointed.Next time I'll just get the cheap-looking Toys 'R Us version. Things I never ever say...But this table is ridiculous.Update: Both the seller and the folks from Beka, the company, were very friendly and helpful. I have no complaints about them or their service...aside from the fact that my table was a total lemon. I ended up keeping it, because it seems like it would be lots of trouble to return something so large. Ultimately, I had to bust out my power drill and make holes with a larger drill bit - TWO sizes larger than what was used originally. The screws absolutely were not going to fit. They barely went in with the drill bit that I used, but eventually they did and I have to admit the table looks great and is the perfect size. However, it took me hours - many, many hours - over the course of multiple weeks to put this table together and it simply was not worth it. I received a defective product, which was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this table to anyone who doesn't have the time to basically rebuild it as needed.
