There is no point spending a lot of money on a saxophone reed for a high school kid who is not a serious musician so this reed is perfect for him. The reed is inexpensive so if he cracks it, we can afford to replace it.

Did not quite fit my Alto sax. It slides down with any pressure, I guess. But after several tries it played.

This mouthpiece is absolutely amazing for most people, as long as you are not too picky. I think this mouthpiece is worth recommending unless you are a professional. The entry level for the mouthpiece are particularly high, of course that's another matter.

Perfectly balanced - ease of effort with #2 Reed. Loud or soft; low notes or high notes are easy to execute. Prices Right in an environment of all sorts of pricing accompanied by elaborate claims of performance.

Even a beginner needs a mouthpiece that puts out an acceptable tone. This is looks and feels right but sounds terrible.
