Insightful- A Perspective
I normally don't write book reviews, but I feel urged to provide a different perspective to Ravi's teachings in light of the revelations. Some have decided to dismiss his writings because of the recent events. I urge fellow believers to have an open mind. I followed Ravi not because of who he was, but because his writings illuminated the faith in a way that I had never understood before. The writings were philosophical, yes, but they were also rooted in scripture, which I consider the inerrant standard. As long as that high standard is kept to, I feel that such teachings should not be ignored.Truth is absolute and doesn't change, irregardless of whether it comes from a mouth of a babe or comes from convict in a prison. Our culture of today has lost this fact and instead swings from one flavor of the month to the next, hence you see the turmoil, the chaos and the pain. Bibilically, God has always used the people we least expect; Rahab at the walls of Jericho, Pharoah in the persecution of Israel to achieve His will. If Ravi did what he was accused up, it is absolutely deplorable but yet, can any of fallen sinners cast a stone? I was upset and shocked but at the same time, it is reflective of our nature. So I ask that you read books with this in mind. Scripture is the acid test. I think this is a deep book and explores some big questions. I found it useful and am still slowly reading it. Ravi's teachings are still about the truth of God and that does not change with time or his actions. It is non temporal unlike many of the cultural beliefs in our world.

Comforting Essays on Christian Topics of Eternal Significance
While some say it is irrational to believe in God, I disagree and think belief in God is very logical. Ravi Zacharias has departed this world but fortunately has left many books behind to guide those who wish to research Christianity from an intellectual viewpoint. I'm always impressed with Ravi's extensive vocabulary and deep insight into how spirituality works. These fifty-two readings can be read as devotionals or as a weekly experience for a year. For someone like me, I of course had to read all these short essays immediately if not sooner. I love thinking deeply about issues of eternal consequence. Some of the subjects this book covers include: truth, redemption, the questions humans ask, naturalism, the main reason skeptics deny God's existence, the human condition, marriage, justice, synchronicity and more...While reading you may feel that this book was written just for you. As Ravi says: "the study of God is the highest science." He also says that he has observed that even the hardened heart retains a longing for the possibility of communicating with God. So we should not give up on anyone as the heart is always seeking.~The Rebecca Review

Sanctification Support at its Finest
I received a free copy of this book to review and I loved it so much that I bought another copy for my BFF!I had heard of Ravi Zacharias, but I’d never read one of his books before despite my best friend being a huge fan. I knew he wrote on apologetics, but that was about it. After reading this book, I am now a huge fan myself.I zipped through this book in a matter of days—I just couldn’t put it down for long. Zacharias helps us make sense of the truths about God and how to practically apply them through his words and the reflective questions at the end of each chapter.Throughout my journey in this book, I felt overwhelming encouragement to live a life for Christ and personal conviction in areas of my life that I need to give to Jesus. Some people look for self-help, this book is sanctification support at its best. Jesus doesn’t leave us where we were when we first met Him, He pushes us to grow. This book supports spiritual growth and maturation as we apply God’s wisdom to our lives. What I love most about this book is that it clearly demonstrates the timelessness of our Lord God and His Word. Every chapter proves relevant to our culture and society today. I appreciate so much the wisdom to navigate a time where everyone can so readily be influential via the internet and social media. We are called to be different and Zacharias clearly outlines how God’s Word says to do it with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. At times, the language is quite academic, so be prepared to read and reread while taking breaks to ponder and relish the lessons. In those moments it makes sense that the authors himself recommends reading a chapter a week to savor and dwell in the truth provided. There were moments of clarity, moments of challenge, and truth after truth about the amazing God who loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. There’s so much encouragement in faith and in growth. You will be convicted as you reflect and consider how you can apply the lessons and truths to your own life.Go get this book! You won’t regret it!

Great quick devotional
I keep this book on my desk love taking a moment to pause before I start my day. I’m not all the way through but I feel I’m going to keep each topic as a theme for the week.

Intellectual insight
Writings of Each Zacharias collected into 52 chapters. It is meant to be read as one chapter per week. At the end of each chapter, there are questions for review and contemplation. Most chapters are challenging and insightful.

An Oddly Convicting Experience
Given what we now know of Ravi’s double life, it was impossible for me to read these little essays without considering his failures. The passages that refer to sexual sin are filled with dramatic irony. Very quickly the experience changed to one of considering my own failures. What is true is true, however flawed the messenger. Much of this is true; I wish Ravi had lived it more. I pray I will live it more.

Good content in a devotional type format by a fallen leader
Before the scandals revealed after his death. Ravi was highly regarded in the Christian community. A brilliant mind with a compelling faith and respect for people outside the Christian faith - he often challenged those of us from more traditional American backgrounds particularly in our interaction with non believers. It is unfortunate Ravi had problems that make his written works unusable. This book has some wisdom that could benefit many Christians.

Healing & Worth Reading ( :
Anyone concerned with moral meaningor with how Good maps through "religious teachings",for you all I can recommend this,as also recommend Telushkin's "Jewish Wisdom",which will probably help people understand Christ, btw...I"m awake-soul-ist, what many label "buddhist",but if you understand that the term "Space Conqueror" *IN* the Gospel of Mary,Mark Mattison has a good rendition of that Gospel,is *explained* in Eknath Easwaran's "The Dhammapada" wonderfully,& you accept what Thomas Ragland's most important book"Jesus Turns The Dharma Wheel"or "The Eightfold Path of Christ", whichever it is called,SHOWS us that Jesus's Parables were in fact Buddha's Parables, Jewishized!& you understand that John *wasn't* attacking"The Jews",but rather was bitter aboutthe "Jews", that is *false* Jews, like all those hypocrites who attacked his honestyand his healing,or even shamelessly ran the Jewish Temple*as a for-profit operation, _on Sabbath_*, ...... then maybe you are one who is ready to be understanding thatKrishna, Moses, Buddha, Christ, Padmasambhava, etc.../were all trying to show Humankind *One Single Religion*/.. that just happened to be far too vast & sophisticatedfor AnimalsAndTribesTime people to understand. Now, however, is The FloweringTime:Humankind's *integration* is trying to be born...

Excited to read and study.
Very excited to have received this book tonight. I pre ordered and have read many of Ravi's books. He is the reason I renewed my faith in Christ Jesus and I have never seen or heard another man explain Christianity the way he does with passion, clarity and an honest heart. Ravi is a wonderful apologist and a true man of God. I have no doubt this book will be wonderful.
